TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
it’s one of my favorite shows and I really like to see it returned
There has not been a medical drama on tv this awesome since ER. I know that was NBC, but Code Black has the same staying power as ER did. I can see it being watched and loved for many seasons to come. I for one do not miss an episode, my daughter and I both Love this show. I mean once it comes on you can’t stop watching. It would be awful to cancel this show.
love this show
do not cancel,,,,,,,,,heart felt love this show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have watched this from the beginning and I find it really interesting. The characters are fun and have great story lines. I do not want it cancelled! I can’t believe they would even consider cancelling this show when crappy shows like “The Odd Couple” and all of the reality shows stay on the air.
This show is one of my favorites!!! It has drama, characters and characteristics that are relateable, a very realistic side, and so, sooooo much more! Please don’t get rid of this show!! It may be gory but it’s real and that’s what makes it such a good show! It’s nothing like the stupid kardashian show because you could mistake it for a REAL thing like you’re really there and learning as you go on with the show
Code Black should be renewed for a new season – Acting is fabulous! The characters and the actors portraying them are believable. The scenes and lines are not forced as they are in the show with the tattooed lady (can’t even remember the name of that show the acting is so bad)
I love Code Black. Please bring it back.
This is the best new show of the season!! Every episode was exciting and filled with suspense!! Please renew Code Black for season 2!!!!!
I love the Code Black TV show. Please renew it.
