TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Love this show. Please renew.
Love, love, love this show! Please renew!
love the show, don’t cancel it
It is an excellent show and agreat medical show. Absolutely love it, however because I often PVR it and other shows, it doesn’t show up in ratings. You need to figure out how to count the PVR recordings. We have more than enough of the” reality shows.”!!!!!!!!! The cast of Code Black are wonderful.
I think it should be renewed. It was the best ER or medical show on TV.
Love this show
Love the series watched every episode
The best new show on network TV this season. Exciting, fast-paced, and meaningful story lines, with a strong cast. It make you feel like you are there, with all the pressure and intensity. Incredible that it might be cancelled.
Love the show and all the actors . Many story lines; constant action .
Do not cancel the show. My husband and I love this series.
My husband and I watch Code Black and we don’t watch a lot of tv together. I enjoy the lead female character and would like to follow her recovery. I also like the two main male characters – the young doctor & the RN friend of lead female.
I never write comments like this. I and several of my nurse friends have been in the medical industry for about 125 years summed up and totaled among the 4 of us. We have (almost) seen and done it all. Code Black is by far the best of the medical dramas on TV. It is more realistic than most. I hope you don’t cancel it.
I really liked the show. Please don’t cancel it!!!
I really love this show. It would be such a shame to cancel it. In fact it is one of my only shows I am dedicated to. Please renew it!
Really love the show keep it going great show
