TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
I’m unhappy that they cancelled Code Black. It was one of the few shows I like.
This is a prime example of why network tv ratings continue to decline. Another great show, well done and executed and cancelled by the network. SMH
Please do not cancel this show one of the best on CBS
Great show please don’t cancel!!
I can’t believe they canceled this show!! It’s one of my favorites!! By almeans let’s have ANOTHER reality show. Maybe Netflix will be smart enough to renew it.
Why is Code Black being canceled??? I’m so tired of all these “reality” shows. Code Black is such an inspirational show. It shows how life is on and off the job. DO NOT CANCEL CODE BLACK!!!
This is our favorite show!! Why must the networks cancel all the good one?? Try moving it to 9:00 pm eastern time and watch your audience grow!! Please rethink canceling this show. Please!!
This is a really great show that I look forward to watching every week. Far better than most shows on television nowadays.
I enjoy this show very much. I am in the medical field and still enjoy it. I hate it was cancelled. Wish it would continue.
Best show on Prime tv. Why on earth would it cancel. Maybe it would get more viewers if it was on at 8 or 9 0clock instead of 10 eastern time. I record so I can watch it. Why does every time a good show comes out the network cancels and replaces with a comedy or reality show. Getting to the point where I don’t want to watch network tv anymore because of this.
Please don’t cancel…great show!
Please let’s keep Code Black on the Air!!! It is one of very few shows that I look forward to watching every week. I really like how the characters have evolved over the seasons. I want to see what all happens with them.. I love the character Momma!! I know a few hospitals around where I live that need this type of person there.
Please do not cancel Code Black. GREAT show!!!!
Love Code Black. Please don’t cancel another great show! Look forward to watching it each week.
