TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
One of my favorite shows. Why do these head guys cancel the good shows and leave age old shows on like Criminal Minds, Special Victims etc on wayyy past their prime? And renew others that were never good in the first place, like Madame Secretary, How to get away with Murder? I am so tired of them cancelling good shows and leaving on or bringing on more garbage. I spend a lot of time now on Netflix and buying DVD’s.
really wish it was not being cancelled.
I love this show. The cast melds very well. Please do not cancel!
Please don’t cancel. Cancel dumb show TKO instead.
Please, do not cancel. The plots are very relevant and suspenseful. The cast is wonderful
One of my favorites. It is a shame to cancel!
Great show- don’t cancel it Please!
I LOVE CODE BLACK! It always kept me on the edge of my seat. Very very angry to hear they have cancelled such a great show with some pretty awesome actors and actresses! Shame on you CBS! You cancel Code Black to air TKO. STUPIDEST MOVE EVER!
CODE BLACK SHOULD NOT BE CANCELED!!!
Im shocked, Code Black is one of the best shows out there… finally all the cast are hitting there marks , and CBS decides to pull it.. The only show worth watching on a late WED night.
CODE BLACK IS A GREAT SHOW! REALISTIC WITH GOOD INTERACTIONS. IT SHOULD NOT BE CANCELLED!!
I agree, hate to see it cancelled!
Code Black is a excellent series. It is a shame CBS can’t see that (Instead they air very lame reality shows). As a medical professional, I can say it encompasses real life situations and demonstrates the intensity of an ER.
Code Black has developed into one of the best shows on television with Rob Lowe a shining star, please don’t cancel a hit like Code Black
PLEASE DONT CANCEL THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOW EVER!!!!
PLEASE don’t cancel Code Black it is my favorite show. I never miss an episode.
This totally sucks on CBS’s part. One of the best medical shows ever on tv. What i s their problem. Bring it back.
