Colony is coming back. According to Variety, USA Network has renewed their new sci-fi series for a second season.
The series, which stars Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies, debuted on January 14th.
Created by Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal, Colony stars Holloway as Will Bowman, a former FBI agent who lives in a near-future Los Angeles with his wife (Callies) and two children. The family is soon torn apart during an invasion from an extraterrestrial force.
So far, the series has maintained low-but-steady ratings, averaging 1.27 million viewers per episode.
Colony airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. on USA Network.

I love the new show colony. I just watched the season finale. What upsets me is it said colony will return in 2017. Are you kidding ?? This show is so good why wait one year to see the second season ?? Please bring it back in September 2016. it’s not fair that the fans of the show have to wait one year.
I love this show. My sister and I are fans of Walking Dead and loved Sarah when on that show, and enjoyed Lost in its heyday, so its fun to see Josh back in action. Its really very good… kind of “V”-like, but entertaining and keeps the action coming now that its established the characters and relationships. Very pleased it will come on again.

I don’t understand how they can renew Colony when Necessary Roughness was cancelled while it had double the viewers on its last show.

I LOVE The Colony! The premise of this show doesn’t seem too farfetched to me. And I think LA is the perfect place for this to be filmed at. I love Josh and at the end of each episode, I am wishing that I wish it weren’t over and can’t wait for the next one!
