Last season, Continuum’s ratings were slightly higher than they had been in season one. Will they continue to grow or will they fall in season three? Will this Syfy series be renewed for a fourth season or will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned!
Continuum revolves around a female police officer (Rachel Nichols) from the future who gets caught up in a conflict that spans between 2012 and 2077. The cast also includes Victor Webster, Erik Knudsen, Stephen Lobo, Roger Cross, Lexa Doig, Tony Amendola, Omari Newton, Luvia Petersen, Jennifer Spence, and Brian Markinson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
12/8 update: Continuum has been renewed for a fourth but final season.
Final season averages: 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 840,000 total viewers.

What do you think? Do you like the Continuum TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a fourth season?
Wow I live it
I watch Continuum through Amazon on my Roku. I hope viewers like me are counted somehow too. Maybe the typical viewer is not a cable subscriber! Please renew. I love this show!
I love this show and look forward to seeing it developed more. I think it is a mistake to look too hard at the demographic slice. I’m 57 and look forward to good well written and creative non zombie, non apocalyptic moderately gory Sci Fi and fantasy entertainment. I’m a growing niche as the boomers age….
the time line split is totally intelligent and exciting, it gives us something to think about and use our minds and our imaginations, please people, enjoy having possibilities,
go for a 4th season, keep it on, its a great show
This is an awesome idea for a show and full of potential. I’m a huge fan, But I agree with some of the comments about the acting being crap, but it is improving. Story lines getting better and grittier too. Simon Barry has a great idea, and I hope he doesn’t get “Lost” on it.
I love the show and love to see where the writer take us , it great to get on a ride like this each week and not be sure where you are in the show but sure thing I’m not thinking about my bills my own life issues I’m so caught up in there two world’s If I could write the check I would in a heartbeat we need more shows like this for a host of reason but I will stop here someone needs to not worry about there JOB and worry about the audience you so care about.
Those are not good numbers. I was sorry to see that. I have no trouble with the somewhat mind-bending turn the season has taken, but I can see why some people would be turned off by it. And I don’t think the writing has been as tight, though the acting has gotten better with each season. I hope the numbers improve with the final five episodes, at least enough to get a fourth season. Or at least let the producers have a shortened fourth season to wrap things up. I hate being left hanging.
Continuum started with a bang (almost literally) and I agree with the person who didn’t think the show’s creator and producer (Simon Barry) believed it would live to see a third season and has been therefore unprepared. This season has been disjointed and difficult to understand as either a complicated plot is being instituted or they simply don’t have any idea where to go from here. I still put my money on the show, so starved for sci fi am I! I am hanging in there and that Rachel Nichols, a popular young Canadian actor and central star of Continuum,… Read more »
I’m greatly enamoured of those characters Kiera Cameron and Carlos Finergra and I’ve watched each episode over and over. I agree there’s no consistent flow in the story line. It ebbs and flows, but it has great potential. I’ve always thought the story could be also done as a full length movie if it crashes on TV. Shows like these should be renewed for at least three-year contracts, so the writers can pace out the action.
The needs of TV Sci-Fi requires lots of fistfights, lots of shootouts with lots of bullets and femmes in skintight or skimpy outfits. Continuum has all those, but what it doesn’t have is any continuations, no /quote/”Continuum”/endquote/. Old Alex-2077 sends a message in Kiera’s suit software to young Alex-2012 but neglects to mention that he also sent Kiera and neglects to mention Alex’s father Stan Echer Sadler and especially neglects to mention Emily. Old Alex has no memory of events in 2012-2014 involving time travelers. He mentions “Freelancers” in another episode without any real feeling like he knows what they… Read more »
I loved season 1 and 2, but just like Georgia my family has gotten confused with the branching time lines.
I was each episode twice and have to read forums to keep up.
Good Science fiction series. I’ve enjoyed every episode. I don’t find the timeline shifts confusing; they occur as a continuum. ;-). It is certainly easier to follow than “Lost”. My timeline will will be thrown onto chaos if the series is cancelled
Good Sci-Fi…therefore it is doomed. In this instance, the multiple timeline paradox is the essence of a good sci-fi story. Unfortunately, it will not be appreciated by the casual viewer & the result will be…as we see…declining viewership & an untimely cancellation. Too bad! My thanks to the writers, cast & crew for a good series. We can only hope…likely in vain…that the suits will allow the writers to give us a satisfactory ending.
My husband and I could hardly wait for season three! However, now that it’s begun…we keep hoping it’ll improve. This is a terrible story line and it’s beyond confusing. We’ve watched each episode two or three times to try and understnad what’s going on this season…NOT giving up….yet. We can’t be the only viewers that are having trouble following or understanding the plot.
