TV show description:
In this police drama, Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) is a Protector; a regular cop from Vancouver in the year 2077. Through a series of events, she finds herself trapped in present day — alone and a stranger in a strange land. To make matters worse, there are eight of the most ruthless criminals from the future, known as Liber8, loose in the city.
Thankfully, through the use of her CMR (cellular memory recall — a futuristic liquid chip technology implanted in her brain), Kiera can connect with Alec Sadler (Erik Knudsen), a seventeen-year-old tech genius. Using his prototype 2012 wireless technology, Alec is able to help Kiera track the Liber8 agents and provide her with information to help her operate in our time.
In order to track the terrorists down and keep them from changing the past (and presumably future), Kiera joins the 2012 Vancouver Police Department. Thanks to Alec’s help, she’s able to do this without the necessary credentials. Kiera knows that the eight terrorists will resort to criminal activity to further their goals of taking down the corporations that will one day rule the world.
Partnered up with Detective Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster) of the Special Investigations Unit, Kiera positions herself perfectly to hear about Liber8’s activities and to hopefully intervene.
Like Kiera, Carlos is also a cop with a passion for justice. They are from totally opposite ends of the ideological spectrum however. Carlos believes in justice for the individual while Kiera’s 2077 sensibility has brought her to believe in justice for corporations.
Kiera has been brought up and trained to always depend on her technology. She finds that her relationship with Carlos has her learning to listen to her gut for the first time.
Episode #42 — Final Hour
Kiera and Alec risk everything to stop the future soldiers and their devastating plan. Kellog, despite a loose alliance with Kiera, has plans of his own. All factions clash violently in order to determine which path the future will take.
First aired: October 16, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Continuum TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a fifth season?
should renew Till the stories over
It looks like this is a dead duck. I hope they’ll do a two hour finale but, I doubt it.
We need a season 4. We need it now.
Please renew this show! I LOVE CONTINUUM! They can NOT end the show like this! Alec needs to take back his company and be a better him over time. Maybe Kire should help Alec the way he helped her and retake the company. Then have series 4 focus more on solving unsolved serial killings and missing persons. Have it somehow tie into the battle to win the future. But first of course they must focus on the super soldier problem. Enemies must become allies and together defeat the latest threat. At the very least have it become a Netflix Original… Read more »
Continue, Continuum please. This is a brilliant production. This story needs to be told.
RENEW!!!!!!!! Please! Super awesome show. Absolutely cannot wait for next season to come out.
Have enjoyed the series so far. Found it hard to follow towards the end of the 2014 season.
Would like to know start date of new season.
I can’t believe anyone would follow this show. They are the making the cops look like the “good guys” fighting “terrorists” (love that one!) who are going back in time to try to stop corporations from taking over the government!!!! That is exactly where we are heading right now……if not already there. the first episode clearly showed a total loss of rights, freedoms and privacy as a result of the corporate government takeover. The so called “terrorists” in this show are the heroes trying to restore freedom and democracy. And yet we are led to root for the female cop… Read more »
Peter, you haven’t been following that close have you. The main “cops” Kiera have been starting to see things differently and are going after the corporations fighting to preserve individual freedoms from corporations.
I like the series and want another season of the show as long as it doesn’t lose its current pace and story line. Too many shows lose focus and go off the deep end. That’s when I lose interest.
Glad the show was cancelled. I worked with Rach and Victor. Both Asses. No personality. They both think that there **** dont stink. Victor is a pansy ass. and Rach thinks she is all that. They both are nobody’s. No personality.
Where did you see that Continuum was cancelled?
There is an article at the Master Herald website (can I post links?) dated Nov. 14 that says a Season 4 is unlikely for various reasons, but Shaw Media has still not made an official announcement.
Thanks. Will keep an eye.
Always entertaining with good plot twists. It would be a shame if it is not renewed
Just finished watching last of Season 3. Terrific and intelligent show. Please continue it. Absolutely have to know whether that creep Kellogg really does get to ruin and run the future! Actors are great in their roles, and show holds one’s interest always.
Too many questions left unanswered. We need more Continuum!
Renew!
Definitely should be renewed
One of the best written shows out there, and that’s saying a lot with all the crap that’s on tv now-a-days. Simon Barry has done a Yeoman’s work with this show. Please do not let this show go by the way of all the good shows that have been canx in the past. If you’re smart syfy, you will renew this series and let Simon Barry finish his story.
