NBC is cleaning house on Sunday nights. They’ll surely cancel American Dream Builders, they’ve cancelled Believe and they’ve also cancelled Crisis as well.
An action/thriller series, Crisis finds out what might happen if the children of powerful people from Washington, DC were to be taken prisoner. The cast includes Dermot Mulroney, Rachael Taylor, Lance Gross, James Lafferty, Max Martini, Michael Beach, Stevie Lynn Jones, Halston Sage, Max Schneider, Joshua Erenberg, and Gillian Anderson.
Unfortunately, this show seemed doomed from the start. It debuted to lackluster ratings and the numbers sank lower and lower each week. At one point, Crisis drew just a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.73 million viewers.
On the upside, it seems likely that NBC will release of the remaining episodes. Eight of the 13 episodes have aired so far.
What do you think? Are you sorry that there won’t be a second season of Crisis or is one season the right amount? Should it have been cancelled?
I’m so heart broken that it’s not coming back. Sunday nights were my favorite because of Crisis. they have to reconsider.
That explains why I don’t watch NBC. They get a great show like Crisis and someone decides to cancel it. Look at their fall line up. Garbage! Maybe one of the other networks will pick it up. NBC you are the looser. My wife and I watched every episode and were ready for more.
I loved the show Crisis and will really miss it. Actually, it’s the only reason I watched NBC. Guess there’s no reason for me to do so now.
Crisis was my favorite new series. Good shows continue to be cancelled while ridiculous and juvenile shows that continually push the boundaries and center their “entertainment” on how they can take the levels of obscenity to. Crisis was a well thought out, acted and intelligent show.
This tv show is awesome and it shouldn’t be cancelled. If the views are low its because the day and the time the program is on air. this is one of the best thriller shows i have saw in my life, it would just be a pity if NBC cancels this show. I want a second, third and fourth season.
Agree with Chiara – NBC loses out to CBS, especially against their strong show night lineup on Sundays. This should have been on Wednesday, where NBC has strong shows – maybe Monday with Blacklist but that is hard during the fall and competing against MNF.
Secondly it was on Sunday at 10 PM too late but I DVR it and watched it. NBC bring it back! If ratings are low it because of the time slot. It was supper good .
Crisis is one of the best shows every on television its needs to be renewed for a second, third, fourth…etc seasons #seriously
I went to see if my favorite show was coming back and found this. I had no clue it did so bad! My husband and I can never agree on a show and his was one we LOVED! We couldn’t wait for it to come back! This always happens when we love a show it doesn’t come back. So disappointed!
Crisis was a horrible show. I turned it off during the episode where the secret service agent shot the kidnapper in the leg and then let him go in exchange for the promise of a random kid in a car somewhere. WTF! You had the kidnapper, I bet you can make him talk and then you can rescue ALL the kids.
Turned it off and canceled the series recording, learning that they canceled the series 6 months later, no big surprise. Seeing all these comments in support of that drek, that is surprising.
I really liked that show. It was entertaining and engaging and a good plot. Mike Beach was great and so were the two agents.
Can’t believe they cancelled another show. I think their rating system is broken. Everyone I know that watched it, really liked it. 🙁
crisis…Profind it a cool stuff in…Pliz why does it have 2 end?
I wonder why they cancelled it may be for the poor rating can they do the rating again.
I really liked the series Crisis. Why they cancelled it and replace it with another reality show is beyond me.
I liked Crisis it was a very Good show.
Fred, You have made my wife quite sad – she loved the Tomorrow People and she agreed with your comments 110%. NBC had some interesting shows, Blacklist, Crossing Lines (heard it was supposed to be back but am worried that isnt true) – but I think the low cost-high return of Reality TV – gives new Drama’s that do not pull in a very high Nielsen quick a short life. I’m not compiling the information, I am only going by the trend and what is published each Tuesday in USAToday – the weekly show audience ratings. They use mathematical models,… Read more »
I have seen this too many times where a good show like Crisis, Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People and getting canned but junk shows continue to be renewed. We like theses shows in particular due to the fact that they are entertaining and require thought to understand and follow. Most of the “Brainless” or “fake Reality” shows that are renewed we refuse to watch and wonder why they are renewed while the above mentioned shows are cancelled. You say it is because of ratings but I don’t understand how you compile this information as everyone here has never been called… Read more »
