As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
I stumbled across this show on Netflix a year ago or a little longer watched the first season, and I was hooked. I love this show; it is fantastic, and I’m over joyed to hear that a third season is on the way. To who ever is reading this has any influence on the networks you need to tell them the day of commercials is over. Between Netflix and my DVR I haven’t watched a commercial in years. I record a whole season of a show, and spend my 2 days off completely immersed in my show. Crossing Lines is… Read more »
Yes season two very good wow cliff hanger endings. Can’t wait for third season! !!!
Like the series as per seasons 1 and 2, but with three main cast members leaving for season three, I probably will not watch it. The main three were hard acts to follow.
Loved, loved, loved this series!!! So glad there will be a season three!! Can’t wait to see it—-love all the characters too! Hate to lose any of them but will continue to watch as it is so well written.
I really liked the two seasons that I have watched. I hope that season 3 will soon be here.
After living many years in Europe it is wonderful to see a series such as this that involves the International Court and Europe’s problems. Let me know when the new season is ready.
I love the show. Hope it comes back real soon
I love crossing Lines i have seen every episode. There’s a twist in every episode to keep your interest.
I know I always disappointed with NBC they cancel all the good shows. But I love Crossing Lines and can’t wait to see the 3rd season.
My husband and I love the show. Can not believe that we missed such a great show on NBC and did not find it until Netflix. Do hope that Eva and Louis are not dead. Loved them and their accents.
this series had me hooked from the first episode. love that they don’t care that they kill off main characters. so great to see a legit series that sticks to a plot and doesn’t rely on focus groups telling them who should stay. the rawness, and intriguing stories keeps me wanting more. PLEASE don’t stop making great episodes! this is exactly the type of honest series we all want
Do you still feel the same with season 3? I am so disappointed they replaced such good actors with mediocre (american known) actors. I don’t feel the quality is there anymore. Not saying the writing is bad just the acting.
Love the show. Where is season 3??
Have seen both dynamic seasons and can’t wait for the third though disappointed it will be without William Fichtner.
Can’t wait to see season 3. Love the show!
Great show….hope netflix picks it up
According to the website TVDB, season 3 of the show started airing on the French broadcast network TF1 on 9/30/2015 and the database shows 12 episodes listed with the final season 3 episode airing on 11/17/2015. Don’t know what deal Netflix has for when they can air the latest episodes but at least iit appears there is a complete 3rd season to binge watch when it makes it to Netflix. It’s also one of my favorite shows. The fact they have killed off some of the main characters doesn’t matter much since it doesn’t affect the quality or type of… Read more »
I’m curious to see if you feel the same with season 3. I also didn’t mind that some characters got replaced, although I really liked the 2 female actresses in season 1. I thought it was odd to kill off a main character after 2 episodes. It was a mistake to kill off Louis Daniel and replace Carl Hickman, Eva Vittoria and Tommy McConnel. They were less known actors (to Me anyways) but talented and I liked that their characters were developed (we knew their history). The main reason I liked the first two seasons was because it wasn’t an… Read more »
I can’t disagree with your comment regarding Carine Strand (Elizabeth Mitchell). She would not have been my first choice to replace Louis. The only recent work I’ve seen her in was Once Upon a Time where she played an evil Snow Queen. I wasn’t that impressed with her in that show although I can’t say it was due to the acting. I don’t know who I’d have picked in her place but I think I would have preferred someone more regional. The obsessive character Carl Hickman has been replaced by the obsessive character Marco Corazza (Goran Visnjic) in the show.… Read more »
