As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
I just watched Season 1 & 2 on Netfix. I can’t wait for Season 3. I loved it. Sorry to hear that Wm Fitchner won’t be back though.
really liked the show. Please continue & make it available on Netfix or Hulu. Great show can’t wait to se Season 3.
I loved that show. It was a European version of csi and law and order in one.
GREAT series!!! In the middle of season 2 & glad to hear there will be a season 3. Very intriguing actors & stories. Love the sexy European accents.
Loved Crossing Lines and would pay to see the third season.
Excellent series, actors/esses and plots.
Love love love it.

Just finished watching season 2 on Netflix. What an ending. One of the best series I have watched. Smart , exciting and amazing locations and actors. Looking forward to season 3, hope it is on soon.
Yes I loved the show. Sad to see Fitchner’s character leave! Hope they stream this soon!
Amazing the show. Sad William Fichtner is being replaced, I think his character added a quiet, sensitive hero like, leadership quality. Anyhow, looking forward to season three.
Waiting for Netflix to stream season 3. Keeping international allure would be the point. I watched the first season on NBC, now I am waiting on Netflix. Just like Luther I watch because it is not the same as American police show…
Okay…just finished season 2 having really enjoyed it. Won’t be watching season three. I’m of the opinion that even the American audience enjoyed watching such a European (but occasionally collaborative with US agencies) style show appealing. Losing three genuine Europeans (especially, sigh,Tommy) is missing the point. Replacing them with a couple of comfortably familiar Americans (sorry Goran I include you here) is disappointing. By the way writers, it really is only Scotland Yard if you are writing for Sherlock Holmes.
I so enjoyed Crossing Lines.. Watched first and second season in three days on Flix.. What a.steller cast .. Pls continue…pls
Great show can’t wait for the next season three to start.
Yes, I’m waiting to watch the new season. When will it air? Since I’ve never traveled to all these countries, it’s great to see them in films along with the people, although the speaking actors could be American.
I am already paying to watch it, as I saw it on Netflix, so I would definitely watch the 3rd season to see it all wrapped up. Watched it mainly because Tom W. was in it, but it was nice to see Wm. Fitchner and Donal Sutherland as well. It took awhile to understand all the accents, but my American ears could use some practice at listening to English spoken by other cultures.
Loved it, was really confused at the end of Season 2
