As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
Have just finished watching season one and two and loved it so glad to know there will be a third season. Classy thinking man’s or lady’s detective/spy thriller.
I really loved this show, but without William Fichtner I am not interested!! He made the show really desirable. Can’t imagine why he’s been replaced. This always happens they drop an original character and expect us to be happy. Gross

Love this show. Keep it coming. Can’t believe they killed off Marc Levoine. Where is Tommy? Will keep on watching!
It’s wonderful to see an international collaboration with these quality cast members, varied locations. I hope writers and producers understand the value of character Dorns political acuity in setting the show apart. Dorn’s scripted lines which reveal the dynamics of sexism in law enforcement, or human rights defense in former eastern bloc nations, for example offer superb counterpoint to major plot thesis. Regardless of team member losses, the contributions of Donald Sutherland/Marc Lavoine as stable cast members remain essential for continuity. Its nice to see artful, versatile Prague as a production location too. Keep up the good work. I’d happily… Read more »
Yes, have enjoyed the two seasons and looking forward to the third.
I just finished watching the first 2 seasons! Love this show! I’ll be so disappointed if Netflix doesn’t air season 3!
I finished both seasons and was very disappointed to find out how season 3 started. Just plain one to two liners of explanation in regards to the change of the prominent characters of the first two seasons. Sorry, 10 to 20 minutes in lost interest. I guess i have to be satisfied with the 2 seasons, in Tommy’s words “Ay”
Yes, absolutely willing to pay. Best series ever!
I have just recently found the show, and I absolutely love it! I would be happy to pay to see season three.
I would defiantly pay to watch season 3. Even if it came out on DVD
My partner and I just finished watching the full two seasons of this show and it is awesome. We love the story lines, the cast and acting. We cannot wait until they show season 3 on Netflix.
