It’s the end of the line for the Dallas TV show — for the second time. TNT has announced that they’ve cancelled the new Dallas TV show after three seasons.
A continuation of the successful CBS series from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Dallas follows the machinations of two generations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.
Year-to-year, season three of Dallas was down by 26% in viewership and down by 38% in the 18-49 demographic. It’s one of TNT’s lowest-rated scripted series and that certainly wasn’t a good sign for its chances of a fourth season.
In a statement, TNT said, “We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”
Cidre and the writers have been working on scripts and ideas for a fourth season of Dallas so hopefully she’ll share what would have happened at some point.

Why would they cancel Dallas. I look forward to watching it every week. It’s one of the most exciting shows on TV. I think they need to reconsider and bring it back. I was disappointed when the original Dallas came to an end and when they brought it back with some of the original cast. I was so happy. Don’t cancel it! I think you need to being it back ASAP.
Please do not cancel Dallas just change to different night like Saturday. What can we do to change your plan.

The actors must be so disappointed and again their talent was also outstanding and they played each role with professionalism and dedication to the series. I was impressed with each and every actor.

I’m hoping if the idiots at TNT are serious about canceling the show that another network has the foresight to pick it up. My wife an I would follow it anywhere. We we’re fans of the original and are fans now. I couldn’t imagine Dallas without J R but these writers are so fantastic I didn’t have time to miss him much.
Un”frickin”believable! This is the worst news for those of us who appreciate TV shows with a plot – not the insane reality shows on nowadays! The breaking up of the show is surely to blame for the loss of viewers. Put the show on and let it continue to air for the allotted amount of total shows! Hopefully, someone else will pick it up for season 4. And for the foreseeable future, I am DONE with TNT!
NO NO NO NO! This show is awesome just as good if not better than the original. If there is a problem with the rating then i say it is because of the total lack of advertising!!! I did not even know that is had been running for two years. I found it on NETFLIX and I was hooked after the first show. PLease do not cancel advertise!!!
TNT has made a major mistake by canceling Dallas I look forward to every episode of every season. I’m preying some other network picks it up and treats Dallas with the respect Dallas deserves and to rub salt in the wound TNT didn’t even give us one last season to close the storylines. Shame on you TNT i’m done with you unless you renew Dallas.
