After two seasons on the air, TNT has cancelled Dark Blue. No season three for Carter Shaw and his LAPD team.
Dark Blue stars Dylan McDermott as the leader of an undercover unit whose members are so covert that some of the members of the department don’t even know they’re involved. The rest of the cast includes Omari Hardwick, Logan Marshall-Green, Nicki Aycox, and Tricia Helfer.
The cancellation of the cop drama doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Despite a decline in ratings, the series was renewed for a second season last December. The second round of 10 episodes began airing in August and the numbers were worse than they’d been in year one.
Season two averaged a 0.6 rating in the key 18-49 demographic and 2.25 million total viewers. Those figures make the series the worst performer of TNT’s summer season and ripe for cancellation.
Dark Blue ended its run with two episodes on September 15th.

Dude White Collar on USA a super great show got like 3 million viewers and the channel execs were so ecstatic about that. How can 2.2 million be a cancellation?? TNT is smoking rock. They keep ******** like hawthorne on and Franklinand bash and cancel their best show!!! Whats next cANCEL the closer. You are a bunch of MORONS over there

i have been waiting for the summer so I could watch Dark Blue, this is an EXCELLENT show not sure why it was canceled. They should’ve kept this one and canceled some of the stupid shows they out there instead of this one. Lets get Dark Blue back on TNT!!!
Yeah I’m in South Africa and always watched DB….very good show and I’m highly dissapointed that its not running anymore…COME ON BRING IT BAACCCCCKKKK!!!
i cant believe it the first time that i saw this was season 2 on fiver and i enjoyed it so i watched season 1 and it shouldn’t of been cancelled i know alot of people who enjoy watching it
I can’t believe it – I’ve just got into this in th UK – watched season 2 went back & watched season 1 only to find out its been cancelled – Yeah sure the plots are a little far fetched but its a great show full of exicitement & sexual tension
So disappointed, Dark Blue was unique and the cast was awesome together. It was a different kind of cop drama. I’m hoping that TNT maybe will give it another time slot or day and give it another chance. All of us at work were so upset when we heard it was cancelled.

I loved the show very much. I was looking forward to watch the 3rd and 4th seasons and more. There are so many series that are not even worth watching but still they are on the air. I don’t understand. Dark blue was good and I am so sad it won’t come back.
I am in the UK and am very disappointed to learn that this show has been cancelled. I thought that this was one of the better police tv shows!!
