What’s This TV Show About?
A Syfy space opera, Dark Matter stars Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr, Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, and Zoie Palmer. The science fiction drama series follows the crew of a derelict spaceship who awake with no memory of who they are or how they got on board. Still, they must work together to survive a threatening voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal, and plenty of secrets.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Dark Matter averaged a 0.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 608,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 13% and down by 10%, respectively. Find out how Dark Matter stacks up against other Syfy TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Season three premiered with mediocre numbers but the ratings for Dark Matter have remained pretty consistent. Syfy seems to believe in the program since they added an after show — After Dark — this season. Dark Matter also airs on the Space channel in Canada, so its fate largely depends on its success north of the border. I suspect that we will see a fourth season. One of the top sci-fi shows please let’s have a season four
I’m in Australia and loving this show. I stream it over the internet because our local TV channels wouldn’t know a good series unless it was smacked over the back of their heads. Interesting, funny, engaging and I’m in totally and madly in love with five ❤️.
This is a great show. I look forward to every episode and tell all my friends about it so they start on Netflix.
Yes it should be renewed. I hope someone from Sify looks at these posts or it will be left to a numbers cruncher to decide what we want to watch. Great show what could they give us to replace it? I invested several years to get to know the cast and love the show.
Definitely, definitely, definitely want more of this show. Best SyFy show on TV as far as I am concerned. Need double and triple feature shows instead of just the 1 hour weekly’s.
the show was planned out as a five year arc, so I really hope it not only gets picked up for season 4, but also season 5 when the time comes, so we can get the full planned story.
Mallozzi also planned Stargate Universe as a five year arc. Didn’t stop SyFy cancelling after tw0. That was back when SyFy wanted to scrap Sci-Fi programmes for wrestling and other crap.

After episode13, SYFY better not cancel Dark Matter. Man, what a cliff hanger! There better be a movie or something if they don’t renew. You can’t leave fans hanging man. That ain’t cool.
After that cliffhanger in the season 3 finale they better renew it, at least for a short conclusion season, no one wants to have another petition for a cut off storyline.

I love Dark matter, every episode leaves wanting more. And desperate to know what happens next. And with each season it gets better as you learn more of their secrets, so roll on season 4 so ” scyfy don’t don’t do anything stupid and give up on one of the best shows you’ve produced in years”
