What’s This TV Show About?
A Syfy space opera, Dark Matter stars Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr, Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, and Zoie Palmer. The science fiction drama series follows the crew of a derelict spaceship who awake with no memory of who they are or how they got on board. Still, they must work together to survive a threatening voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal, and plenty of secrets.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Dark Matter averaged a 0.15 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 608,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 13% and down by 10%, respectively. Find out how Dark Matter stacks up against other Syfy TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Season three premiered with mediocre numbers but the ratings for Dark Matter have remained pretty consistent. Syfy seems to believe in the program since they added an after show — After Dark — this season. Dark Matter also airs on the Space channel in Canada, so its fate largely depends on its success north of the border. I suspect that we will see a fourth season. I thought the show was great I thought the characters were great I love the one-liners especially from three the storyline was very good I I told all my friends about it and encourage them to watch it I really wish that it would continue if any way possible thank you

What!! Dark Matter cancelled. . It’s one of the very few shows I looked forward to watching. Other than Killoys and 13Monkeys it’s the main reason I pay to get the SyFy chanel. The rest is very average SfiFi movies and Star Trek reruns rerun reruns etc.. At least it is here in Oz. (Australia)
I am upset… I liked the show. The characters were all good. The situations were all complex. I enjoyed watching it. I hope they reconsider… if they want to end the show, end it on season 4. Tie up the loose ends. I hate when things get canceled right in the middle of things.
What…???? why is it every time i find a show that touches my inner alien…..it gets canceled….1st it was Stargate Universe…and Now Dark Matter……i hope that there is more closure given to Dark Matter than SGU……..now to go wipe my tear filled eyes…..
i know i dont even watch tv other than the price is right, the only shows i ever loved are far scape greates show of all time. and now dark matter. they canceled farscape but the fans demanded it back and they got it. but dark matter is just the only show i wait every week to see a new episode.. im cannot even beleive they canceled it. everything actually good they cancel and leave the garbage for people… i hate tv. if i was rich id fund dark matter myself. i really hope it comes back and that one… Read more »
Yet again another great series gets no only cancelled but done so on a complete cliff hanger ending. What a waste. The execs dont have a clue. Agree with Tracy that at least have a season rap up. Anyway sad day indeed.
GUTTED just finished watching season 3 why do the powers that be feel it is their god given right to disappoint loyal fans of your going to cancelled at least do an extended episode of season to rap it up

Cmon guys , you can’t cancel this series!! It’s good to see and follow…and in the last season it seemed a storyline started as well…please!!!!!!
So sick of committing to TV series that just get canned without a conclusion…. imagine if all novels in a library were like this, where you were not sure if the story had an ending, no one would bother starting a story…. the first network to GUARANTEE that all their shows will have a concluding episode will earn audience loyalty!!
Just be glad you don’t partake in japanese anime, that entire industry revolves around incomplete shows. 12 episode taster series, just intended to promote the mange (comic) series.

Disappointing news. It would be marvellous if they could at least tie-up the story with a mini-series.
Another great programme cancelled. What are they doing at such???
