What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, the Debris TV show stars Jonathan Tucker, Riann Steele, Norbert Leo Butz, and Scroobius Pip. The story begins as mysterious wreckage starts falling from the sky. A secretive international agency named Orbital is tasked with figuring out what the wreckage is, where it came from, and most importantly — what it can do. British MI6 operative Finola Jones (Steele) and American CIA agent Bryan Beneventi (Tucker) are partners but they have very different styles. However, they have no choice but to trust each other as they track down the debris scattered across the Western Hemisphere. Each fragment has unpredictable, powerful, and sometimes dangerous effects on the everyday people who find it. They must race against time as shadowy outside forces seek these objects for nefarious purposes.

Telly’s Take
Will NBC cancel or renew Debris for season two? Science-fiction series don’t typically survive very long on network television and this show’s traditional ratings are a good reminder of why. Despite the trend, I think Debris has a chance at being renewed but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if it were cancelled either. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. 5/28/21 update: Debris has been cancelled so, there won’t be a second season on NBC.

What do you think? Were you hoping that the Debris TV show would be renewed for a second season? Are you sorry that NBC cancelled this TV series, instead?
Please bring Debris back!! We loved it! can another network pick it up please?
What’s the point these days of getting invested in a great sci fi show when it just gets cancelled. I give up.
Hoping that the show Debris will be continued. It is great sci-fi
Debris was a Great Scifi with a different wrinkle on alien spacecraft and why they were heading towards Earth etc until WHAT. A season 2 and 3 could have Great potential and go in multi directions with hope for mankind vs the old ufo invasion theme that leaves you empty or a world at war story line that has been over used. Lots of potential with some good writers with vision. Hey a family show minus sex and filthy language, what a novel idea and not some actor bedding down some hollywood tramp. Hell who knows Aliens will probably consider… Read more »
Please please do renew debris for season 2. If you don’t I will get mad.
As usual a show that’s smart and interesting and takes some grey matter to figure out the twists and turns is cancelled by the reality-TV loving network. Why did they even try. It’s like The Crossing and Emergence, only that was ABC that cut the cord on each after one pathetically advertised season. I really don’t know why the mainstream networks even bother making these anymore. The only place thoughtful, complex sci-fi series make it IS on Netflix or another streaming space. I was a huge fan of “Fringe” and was so excited to see a new show by J.H.… Read more »
Excellant show. Would be a shame to see it cancelled for good. We should get a petition together to keep this one on air. Very entertaining FINALLY something the whole family can watch.
this was a super show which had a good set up for future seasons but was killed off by the suites at least give it the dignity of ending the story properly or @netflix / Amazon please pick this up and give it the attention, advertisement, and publicity it needs for F**k’s sake
Finally a show that is interesting and not the pablum that is being fed to us lately. There are too many same old-same old shows.. how many crime shows or ncis can you watch… one spin off after another. Now it’s cancelled? Please sci-fi channel pick this by one up.
As usual any show with intelligence is not given a chance. Loved this show and am sorry to hear it has been cancelled. Maybe Netflix could pick it up.
Myself, also my son and husband love Debris. Angry they cancelled
They didn’t give the show a chance
NBC did the right thing “Debris” is far too classy to be on a network that has the 18-49 age mindset of sex and violent. By the way NBC Wednesday and Thursday prime time should be called “The Dick Wolf Network”. I used to watch “The Law and Order group of shows” but then I realize that is for lack of a better word it became trashy, it has no plot and nothing was tried together. On the other hand Debris” was but only if you watched each show because what was in Show#4 was also in show #13. I… Read more »
I truly hope that Debris gets renewed for a second season.
What will what’s-his-face and what’s-her-face discover?? Couldn’t care less. It STARTED with all the right pieces and then just dropped them on the floor and vomited on them. I already had the first 3 seasons visualized after the first episode! But No..We’re going to take this series down the road to NOWHERE. So much potential WASTED. Maybe they just don’t have the budget to move the story FORWARD??? I tried really hard to like this X-Files copycat, I really tried. The actors are very weak compared to Mulder and Scully, that piqued my interest from the first season of X-Files.… Read more »
