Dexter fans should not lose hope! They may still see a ninth season of the Showtime series. That was made clear by the man in charge of the network and the star of the series, Michael C. Hall, over the weekend at the TCA’s.
Per an Inquisitr report, Hall said the following about the future of the series:
“I don’t think it’s quite time. But it’s a conversation that continues at its own pace.”
Per TV Insider, David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime Networks Inc., also said that the possibility of the series returning is still being discussed.

In my opinion, I didn’t like the 8th season and thought it was kind of boring and didn’t fit the show. I strongly disliked the overall ending. However, Dexter is my favorite show to date and I would still be excited to see a season 9 and what the producers and writers would do with it. I hope they make it!
Umm… YEEEEEEESSSSS. Many a home brewed Dexter premiere parties on the way if so. Finale was so set up for a comeback.
No the show has ran its course. I watch and bought the whole series and would not watch anything they tried to bring back. I hated Dexter killing his own sister, cant get past it, I didn’t mind him killing deserving criminals but not his family!
From the very beginning Dexter was supposed to kill Deb. They had planed that ending for her since season 1.
She was brain dead, she was already dead.
