Last year, USA Network cleaned house; cancelling or ending TV shows like Rush, White Collar, Burn Notice, and Covert Affairs. They have several new shows in the works and are hoping that series like Dig will bring better ratings. Will Dig be a hit or a flop? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? We’ll have to wait and see.
On the Dig TV show, a dedicated and headstrong FBI agent named Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs) takes a job stationed in Israel under the guidance of his new boss (and occasional lover) Lynn Monahan (Anne Heche). While investigating a young American’s murder, Connelly uncovers an ancient international conspiracy — one that threatens to change the course of human history. The rest of the cast includes Ori Pfeffer, Melinda Page Hamilton, Alison Sudol, Regina Taylor, David Costabile, and Lauren Ambrose.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
7/1 update: In some promotions, the cable channel is encouraging people to watch “the entire series” on demand — an indication that the show is over.
Final season averages: 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.21 million total viewers.

What do you think? Do you like the Dig TV series? Do you think that it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
It MUST be renewed! The directors and writers are fantastic. The character Peter is amazing in all of his work, and this one is so good. You can go anywhere in the world and take this character. Do it!
Just finished the finale, what a show kept me on the edge of my seat the whole series. Absolutely fantastic actors. Please Please renew for second season. Everything was so good the city, and plot, what great writing . I can not brag enough about this show it was Great Great!! Loved it!!! Robin
Please don’t cancel this show. The Best
Please don’t cancel!!!! Best. Show. Ever!!!!
I love it. Love Jason Isaacs from Awake. Hated to see the red headed actress and Officer Cohen killed.
This show gets worse each week. I am so anxious for it to end already and I will only watch the SERIES FINALE when it finally happens!
Started watching in mid April and past weekend went back from beginning watched all 9 epoisdes. Thought topic was great once I start to understand and characters. Hope they don’t cancel. Was sad to see detective Cohen killed. They were great working together.
I’d like to see DIG continue but don’t know how that will be possible without the character of Golan. He and Peter really were a dynamic duo, like brothers who squabble but are friends… who knows maybe there’s a Jewish miracle that the writers can pull out of a hat and resurrect him! They already did that with the evil Emma, why not Golan, who’s a good guy?
Oh, I’d like another set of coded puzzle challenges if they do renew, too!
It has already been stated that, if “DIG” is renewed, new seasons would be new stories in new locations.
This strongly indicates (to me, anyway) that ALL of the Israeli cast is doomed (er, expendable)…including, sadly, Detective Golan Cohen (I actually feel sorriest for young Giddy; I also admit Avram’s starting to grow on me, too).
I have no doubt that new seasons will bring other actors/actresses to the attention of us all, and the audience will find new favorites.
Until then, RIP, Detective Cohen.
As far as I know, it hasn’t been renewed.
Dig is awesome… plain and simple! It better not be canceled….
Let’s hope the final episode brings a super ending, and a super news with a renew 😀
This show is the best on TV and I hope and PRAY it’s not canned!!!! The last episode was shocking-I can’t believe they killed you know who(for those who haven’t see it from their DVR) I am sick about it. I like him-he had grown on me so much. A show like this has to start slow-there is so much story to tell-please don’t give up on it yet. I just love it-edge of seat show now!!
love this show finally a thinking show my daughter age 55 is hooked
I am 77 I am hooked and my 95 year old mother is hooked although
she asks more questions watched it all over again on demand just to be
clear on all the details actors are great story is phenomenal scenery
is fantastic
Who’s going to make it out alive? (Remember: This is supposed to have a beginning, a middle–where we are now–and AN_ENDING…and that ending had **better not** involve ANY KIND of cliffhanger!!)
I get so into these shows like Dig, that I can’t wait for the next one. This one is like watching a movie. I try so hard to get people to watch this show , but they tend to forget. It took 2 years to get them to watch Orphen Black, now they are hooked. I just have to hope they will give this one some time to catch on, because I think it will! It’s very well written. Anyway, I love this series!
My significant other implored me to watch this show with him, telling me that he couldn’t stop watching it. I too, have been guilty of waiting for the plot to be “spoon fed” to me. I turned out the lights, paid attention, I am thoroughly hooked. I don’t want to try to explain why it’s a great show when “Amy” did such a great job. This show is like a Dan Brown novel which also requires one to pay attention. There are popular shows like Grimm and Flash which are hugely successful but are like eating fast food compared to… Read more »
