The peacock network has found ratings success with the dark Grimm series on Friday nights. Is there room for another spooky thriller or will Dracula be cancelled quickly like so many other series? Stay tuned!
NBC’s Dracula is a retelling of the classic Bram Stoker story. In London, Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is posing as an American entrepreneur while he seeks revenge on those who cursed him. He doesn’t count on falling in love with a woman (Jessica De Gouw) who looks just like his deceased wife. Others in the cast include Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Smurfit, Katie McGrath, and Nonso Anozie.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/10 update: NBC has cancelled Dracula after one season and 10 episodes.
Final season averages: 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.25 million total viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Dracula TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for second season?
It’s a great show; very romantic and with outstanding acting and beautiful sets. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is captivating, as usual.
Loved loved loves season 1 of Dracula. Didn’t think I would at first. Once I watched it I absolutely couldn’t get enough. Hoping there is a season 2.
I love dracula. They should give it another season so people can really get into the story. It is so sad they jusr dont give shows a chance anymore they just cancel.
I love the show. It’s on Friday nights and began during the holiday season – wish they’d have made it a little closer to mainstream times. I really hope they keep it, I’ve watched every episode and been enthralled each time.
One of the few shows I’ll watch on a major network. I’ve turned to
Programming like Downton Abbey and Mr. self ridge on PBS due to the the ridiculous
Programs on most of the network. Canceling Dracula is a huge mistake- I’ve lived it since episode 1. It’s smart, sexy and beautifully cast. Perhaps NBC should move it to a better timeslot although I like having something to look forward to on a Friday night!
Please please don’t cancel Dracula !!!!! You guys did this so well and the casting is beautiful ! I love this show!!
Dracula deserves to have a second season. It has amazing actors and the telling of the iconic vampire tale is familiar but fresh. This series started during the holidays and didn’t get a fair chance for people to get hooked since there was so many other holiday-related options to watch. The writing is superb. There are many ways this series can turn for new and different story lines. I beg whoever is in charge of this decision to give the Dracula series the chance it deserves.
Dracula was one of the best shows of the 2013 Fall/Winter season! As a fan of gothic horror shows and movies, this series captured the essentials of the Dracula story (both history and myth) and gave viewers a refreshing new take on the character. I hope NBC will renew this show for at least one more season.

I absolutely LOVE this show. The acting, the storyline, the beautiful costumes and all that goes into this show is great! Please, please continue to a second season. This season finale leaves me wanting more. It was an epic ending to the first season. It’s television at its finest!
NBC should be boycotted if they take Dracula off the air!
Please continue with Dracula!! My daughter and I both love this show! Thank you.
