It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

what a shame this was a very good show
I only watch TV 2 X’s a week, Tuesday NCIS and Wednesday Eastwick. is there anything we can do to keep it on the air?

Wonderful idea. Thanks for looking into this. Lifetime has become such a powerful presence — Army Wives, Project Runway, Drop Dead Diva. Eastwick would be a perfect fit.
why they always get rid of good shows
Don’t understand — a sexy fun show, endless possibilities. Once again I invest my time (and money) in TV programs only to be slapped down like some groveling dog.
This is ridiculous, I really liked this show! I’m so angry! The plot was brilliant, i mean the last tv program on air, about witches, was what…charmed? this is just as good, better in my opinion. Which is hard to say, as i loved charmed!! AHHH! This day was going bad, this has mad it a million times worse!
Eastwick was a show that I fell in love with!! there isnt too many shows I watch, but this was one of them, and I loved the movie, and i love this remake show, and all the actors!!! its a shame!!!
what the hell is wrong weith everybody???? This show was funny, interesting, had stories…but noooooooooooooo the ptb decided they could put a reality show on that would cost less $$$.
Im so upset that they are canceling Eastwick! It is such a good show! I agree with the others when i say that the only other good shows that ABC has going for them is Greys and Private Practive.. Cross your fingers guys.. maybe another network will pick it up!

I can’t agree with Lou Anee Deabay more! I love this show and look forward to it every week. I have been so disappointed when it didn’t air. This is my new ER. I only watch TV once a week and will truly miss the fantasy and romance it brings me!
absolutely disappointing! this show has many great actors/actresses, they are canceling one of my favorite shows…finally something new and exciting but now it gets canceled that’s outrageous! they don’t know what they are missing!

This sucks a**!!!!! I love to watch Eastwick and I look forward to it every Wed. This network need to give women what they want (a little bit of fantasy and romance) some of us enjoy being swept off our feet by a TV show. After Lost is done I have no use for this network!!!!!
