It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I love, love, love Eastwick. Don’t cancel. I will follow that show to another network!! Lifetime, TNT, USA, whoever is smart enough to pick it up!!!
I HATE TO HEAR THAT EASTWICK IS BEING CANCELLED. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THAT SHOW. I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO SEEING THE NEXT ONE. IT IS A REAL SHAME TO CANCEL IT.
I am so disappointed to hear that Eastwick is being cancelled. My daughter and I used to look forward to watching it together. It is a nice show that has no serious drama and contained humor and kept your interest. There are so many reality shows these days, it was a nice change. Please reconsider and bring it back!
My daughter and I loved to watch Eastwick together! Why it is being cancelled is beyond me. It is a good show–no serious drama, no real life–which is a nice change from all the reality shows. Please reconsider it and put it back on. Sometimes people want to focus on just a cute, interesting, and humerous show. It’s a shame to see it go!
I agree, the cancell the best shows…. Moonlight, New Amsterdam, Pushing Daisies, Eastwick……

This is terrible they always cancel the good shows. I don’t know how they get their numbers, but it seems as if the few always lose out. They canceled K-ville, New Amsterdam, Moonlight and now Eastwick. Soon the only shows will be the reality programs. I live in reality I don’t need to watch it. I would rather watch something entertaining and unusual.
I rarely watch ABC . The only other show that’s different than all the reality and “cartoonish” crap on ABC is Deperate Housewives. Now you came up with Eastwick which I and many of my friends love. I hope a cable t.v. station takes it over like TNT. I watch more shows on satellite than local networks anyway. They at least have creativity instead of copying each other like ABC, CBS and NBC.

This isnt fair! I love that show. And even though it came on late I still DVR-ed it and even my boyfriend likes it so count this as two votes. TWO VOTES for keeping Eastwick alive. I liked the story and he liked the hot chicks doing magic with all the sex scenes… it’s not that bad.

its a good show but i think the problem was that its on so late no one wants to saty up till 11
most people who watch it have kids and they come home from work tired and have to put there kids to sleep.
Eastwick is an incredibly smart show that breaks out of the cookie cutter mould of every other show on primetime. I was lucky enough to stumble upon it because the network didn’t do their job to promote it. It is difficult for a product to succeed if the producers do not do their job to advertise it.
that is really a shame why a show like this is cancelled it was great entertainment and very interesting.
I have to admit a little corney at times, but my daughter & I LOVED this show!
We’d like ABC to reinstate!
