It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

We are so very upset about the show being canceled it was our favorite show . It is crazy to put ugly betty in its place!!! that show is for kids.
I am really upset Eastwick was cancelled. If I thought I was going to miss it I always recorded it. The show was awesome and I looked forward to it every week. I can’t believe they have replaced it with Ugly Betty instead. That show is so childish. How many years does she have to wear braces anyway? Duh! get a makeover. I can’t believe they cancelled this tv show I loved this show and watched it everytime it came on I wish another tv station would pick it up and air it cause I would sure watch it
Please, if ABC are reading these threads, keep Eastwick going. I’m English, living in China!!!!! Loving the program, as are a lot of my friends. The ratings couldn’t have been that bad, and even if they were, a second series may change that, you still have us old fans waiting with baited breath and spreading the word! BTW, I actually pay via Itunes for my episodes, that shows my dedication.
ABC is stupid to cancel this excellent show, and for a dopey show like Ugly Better, do they think we’re all 12!!!!! I’m hoping that ABC’s stupidity is either CBS or Lifetime’s gain, and convince them to pick the show up and give it the advertising and respect it deserves. I am so upset that they cancelled this show! I actually had something to look forward to. They keep cancelling shows that I start getting into. It is really starting to irritate me.
I am so upset that the show has been cancelled. I look forward every Wednesday night to watch Eastwick and now they leave you hanging. That is not right. I am so mad that ABC can do that do their viewers. Where do the ratings come from? I really hope ABC reconsiders. It is not fair . ABC should have air the last 2 esposides. There was no warning.
I love this show. I am sick of reality tv and I love shows of this nature. ABC is crazy. The line up on Wednesdays are great. I am really disappointed. If they are cancelling it I hope they end it with some kind of ending…. Not just leaving it in the dark.

I loved Moonlight they took it off, I loved Eastwick they took it off, I’m so afraid to watch this series Spartacus because they will take it off……I mean this series looks like its going to rock my world! Starz mini series coming next week…the lead guy is mega hot. There is another show to that looks hot but I’m afraid to like it because its the kiss of death when I do
Because I hated to see Paul Goss play a man-hoe! I had so much respect for him when he played in Due South. This role was sleazy and cheapened him. And the women on the show were tramps!
I love the show watched every episode! Why can networks not stick with a show long enough for the millions of people who do watch the show? I guess those millions of people are not important.
