It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

They do not read this forum, and if you read through this site you will find that there is a petition where viewers can cast their opinion about ABC cancelling Eastwick.

STUPID!!!!!!!! for yanking the show! It was different. It gave people the imagination to be put in the same misterious life style, The cast was a perfect blend of actors, each so different,each with different powers and life altering lifestyles on yhe show! These networks should really start thinking with their brains ,instead of their wallets! People love Eastwick. In this time in the world, people need a magical escape!!! and Eastwick did just THAT!!!!
I am extremely disappointed eastwick was cancelled. It was just starting to get good and then bam it was yanked! Come on it was a change of pace from all the other shows out there. It kind of reminded me of charmed it was different and I liked that.
My husband and I are very disappointed that ABC has canceled EASTWICK,we so enjoyed watching,we wait for Wednesday for it and no they have canceled one of the best shows.

I enjoyed watching Eastwick. I think the timing and advertising of the show may have made it fail. I dont recall it getting much advertisement. The characters were hot, sexy, interesting and fun. It would be nice to see where all the relationships go from here. A disappointment that ABC doesn’t see the success or talent that show can really have if they promoted it more. Try it again people.
I looked forward to the next episodes. I’m terribly disapointed that it was cancelled. This was t fantastic show that stimulated my mind…. An to add to that they took cougar town too….courtney cox was frigan funny …. I’m sad now and someone should tell the station sucks!!!!!!!!
If I have to pick Ugly Betty over Eastwick I will watch another network!!! Ugly Betty should have stayed where it was.
I loved watching Eastwick. I wait all week for it to come on and now I search for it each week, just to find some other uninteresting show in its place. Whatls up with that? At least end the series without us hanging and always wondering what would have come next.
It was just getting good. It was slow at first, but come on. We finally get into it and you yank it. Then we have to dig to find out what happened. I’m still waiting for Men in Trees too.
I love this show, have been watching it on Hallmark here in the UK, and think it is the best show on TV at the moment. I wondered why it sort of stopped half way through a storyline, so now I know. ABC need to think of the future. Some shows start slow with the ratings, and take time to catch on. I feel that it takes at least two seasons, and a move in the time slots, before you can say something as different as Eastwick should be cancelled. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE EASTWICK AND I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S BEEN CANCELLED
WEEK AFTER WEEK I KEEP CHECKING FOR IT AND ALL I SEE ARE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS IN IT’S TIME SLOT, INCLUDING UGLY BETTY.
I FOUND IT TO BE A REFRESHING CHANGE FROM YOUR COP/CRIME OR MEDICAL DRAMAS AND I REALLY LOOKED FORWARD TO IT EVERY WEDNESDAY.
I ‘M JUST ONE PERSON AND I KNOW THAT MY COMMENTS WOULD HAVE NO EFFECT ON ABC’S DECISION. I TRULY MISS EASTWICK. THERE’S NOTHING WORSE THAN BECOMING ENGROSSED IN A SERIES AND THEN HAVING IT YANKED.

Come on people, what is up with these tv stations. I agree with everyone except Professor Votres, seriously dude chill. Maybe you need a little something different in your life to make you relax a little. Anyways, Eastwick needs to stay and Ugly Betty needs to go. That show is nothing but ugly.
