It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I completely agree that this show was awesome. I loved all three women and the storyline was getting better and better. If they would have promoted it like they do Dancing with the Stars and the Bach. then things, I believe would have been better. Please bring it back!!!
This was a different and interesting show! Like the it was a new updated version of charmed.If this was not working at that time slot they should have moved it around.This show was worth trying for.I thought those cast members were great together!
I cannot believe they decided to cancel such a great show. I thought it was the best I had seen in quite sometime. It was different from all the other shows that have been airing on tv, it was very refreshing. I looked forward to Eastwick every single wednesday that it was on, and I was always excited with the next episode to come. But when they stopped airing Eastwick I stopped watching the other shows that came on before it. I was so disappointed that the show was cancelled. It was getting interesting and I actually watched or looked forward to each show. Bring back the SHOW!!
I am so DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! Eastwick was great. I looked forward to it each week and I loved the characters and story line. The least ABC can do is wrap everything up in a final episode for the viewres who were watching!
I also was a huge fan! I agree it didn’t even get a chance. Also Michele is SO right! I was ALWAYS getting confused when it would be on or not, where I even had to watch it on fancast once or twice because they didn’t seem to promote the show much. Im pissed. I have some harsh words for ABC, but i rather not say them. ABC always has a tendency of canceling shows. EastWick wasn’t the best show out there but it draws you in. The story line was just started to get good and then it gets canceled. ABC i must say you have very poor judgement. I also used to watch Pushing Daisy’s, and that to was canceled too. I mean why even put the show on air, draw us all in and then just cancel it. Im done with ABC they lost a viewer. Im PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!
I am so ver sad it was pulled. My daughter and I lookded forward to watching it. Low ratings?? Could it be because you did NOTHING to promote the show not to mention the fact we never knew when it would be on as we would plan to watch and then it was not on. Hoping for the next week. I don’t watch “Ugly Betty”, but it’s about time that ridiculous show was finally coming to an end. I mean really, ABC! How long is this girl suppose to have braces and be that ugly? Perhaps you could bring Eastwick back in it’s place. I don’t understand ABC. There’s finally a good show about powerful, strong, intelligent women and it gets cancelled without a descent chance to recover. Hmmm………let’s see….maybe you could P-R-O-M-O-T-E it this time. WOW! Totally Agree! I loved the show and it did get little promotion. It was like my little soap to watch at the end of the day….I always hated when the show ended that night!
I absolutely loved this show I didn’t watch all of them cause they kept playing reruns or not playing them at all. I got so mad to know that Ugly Betty took the spot of Eastwick I loved this show it was amazing and I love to come home and watch it. The promoting of this show was so weak I didn’t see anything besides the commercials for the next weeks show they could of beefed up the promotion and a lot more people would have watched this amazing show. They need to put it back on like now.
I LOVED THAT SHOW!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS JUST GETTING REALLY GOOD TOO! I am super bummed that they have decided to cancel the show, eastwick was my come home from work, crawl up on the couch and watch some good drama show! Lost is going to be over this year, and Flash Forward is good, but Eastwick was super addicting. If anything the forgotten should be cancelled. I mean don’t get me wrong I watch it, but it is like a friendlier version of CSI, Eastwick was one of a kind. PUT IT BACK!

I loved that show, they didn’t even give it a chance! If you don’t promo a show, like they do with that stupid v show or, flash-forward, don’t expect everyone to watch. Little promos mean it has to go by word of mouth. Give the series a chance to find it’s wings! ABC YOU SUCK! I pay good money to have your station on my satellite, put some decent shows on, and don’t take off the ones that are good!
