There have been many successful projects based on the Land of Oz book series by L. Frank Baum. There’s also been a number of flops. Now, NBC is trying a television series called Emerald City. Will it be another hit or a disappointment? Will the Emerald City TV show be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
A fantasy drama, Emerald City is the tale of a young woman named Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona). She finds her true strength and identity as she battles to bring a divided world together. An all-powerful ruler called the Wizard (Vincent D’Onofrio) governs over one kingdom. He has outlawed magic and faces a looming disaster brought on by a mythical force — as well as the wrath of a growing cauldron of witches. The rest of the cast includes Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ana Ularu, Mido Hamada, Gerran Howell, Jordan Loughran, and Joely Richardson.

This is garbage in its most awful form. Not every story needs to be ‘rebooted’. This terrible idea needs to simply be booted, as well as the writers and show creators and whomever green-lighted it at NBC.
I love this show, seriously the best telling of the wizard of oz in a really long time.

Emerald city is the best is this subject, when you count how many are seeing you forget those who watch through different applications.

Please do not cancel Emerald City. I just discovered it on Hulu and I cannot stop watching. I love how it takes all of the characters from the Wizard of Oz series, not just from the movie. It’s amazing!!!
Renew Emerald City – it is an awesome show and a great twist on the Wizard Of Oz book series.
Renewal minus the wizard. The character of the wizard is horrible at best with poor acting. Girls club is a 8 thumbs down on the Wizard.
Cancel, it’s Garbage
This is an awesome show. The original was my favorite movie when I was a kid. I am 65 now and this show is an excellent alternate version. Please do not cancel it yet. Advertise it more. Dare to be different, show ‘summer reruns’. Is there anyone at your end of this message old enough to know what that means? Thank you. rdm
My wife and I completely agree. We love this adaptation of the Wizard of Oz. At the end of each episode we’re stuck with that, Now what do we watch?, feeling.

The show looked interesting so i gave it a try but quickly stopped watching because i felt the story to be confusing. I cant remember what it was that sparked me to retry n give it a second chance but m so glad i have. Im big on dystopian with a love story so this darker oz has drawn me in. This show is now probably my favorite series to watch and im already anxious for the next episode. Some shows arent given a long enough chance to find its viewers. Please do not cancel this show, this is actually the only show that i have been following. I do horrible with other shows, i lost interest so quickly. But this show keeps me entertained and my mom can go on and on talking about it, it’s something we both really enjoy.
