There have been many successful projects based on the Land of Oz book series by L. Frank Baum. There’s also been a number of flops. Now, NBC is trying a television series called Emerald City. Will it be another hit or a disappointment? Will the Emerald City TV show be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
A fantasy drama, Emerald City is the tale of a young woman named Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona). She finds her true strength and identity as she battles to bring a divided world together. An all-powerful ruler called the Wizard (Vincent D’Onofrio) governs over one kingdom. He has outlawed magic and faces a looming disaster brought on by a mythical force — as well as the wrath of a growing cauldron of witches. The rest of the cast includes Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ana Ularu, Mido Hamada, Gerran Howell, Jordan Loughran, and Joely Richardson.

Emerald City is exactly what I have been waiting for. At first I was not sure what direction the show was going to take but now I’m hooked. I look forward to Friday nights just so I can watch Dorothy’s journey. I hope there will be a Season 2.
Please bring Emerald City back for Season 2 – it is so rare to find such a well written series where they continue to surprise and delight the viewers.
The special effects are “Superb”. The storyline is so rich and unique. The characters are deep and twisted. Absolutely love it and want so much more. Please renew this.

I love the suspense, interesting spin on a classic story, visually stimulated, and super special effects. I watch one series at a time and have truly been mesmerized with Emerald City. I have not missed an episode. Please keep it on another season, I am sure as the word gets out and/or people pick up the series on Netflix they will become huge fans and want more too.

I am the ultimate OZ fan and was very skeptical about this show. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The first episode hooked and reeled me in. I love the abstract analogies and portrayals of the characters. My favorite character in the original film was the scarecrow. Subsequently…Lucas, is my favorite, in the newest reproduction of OZ. Just finished watching the season finale and this fan is praying, there is a season two…PLEASE RENEW!!!
I hope you Bring Emerald City back for another season. I looked forward to seeing it every Friday. The show kept me wanting to see more. I just hate the commercials!
