Tonight marks the two-hour conclusion of Freeform’s new TV show Famous In Love. What do you think? Should the network cancel the freshman series or renew it for a second season?
Based on the novel by Rebecca Serle, the drama centers on Paige Townsen (Bella Thorne), a college student who rises to fame after landing a big role in Hollywood. The cast also includes Carter Jenkins, Charlie Depew, Georgie Flores, Niki Koss, Pepi Sonuga, Keith Powers, and Perrey Reeves.
Famous In Love has not done well in the traditional ratings — the show is averaging a 0.14 in the 18-49 demo and 339,000 viewers. However, this isn’t much of a surprise. The same day that the show premiered on television, Freeform released the entire first season OnDemand and online via the Freeform App, the Freeform website, and Hulu. Clearly, the execs are experimenting with ways to attract viewers in different ways. Only they know if the show has been profitable enough for them to renew it.
Earlier, Freeform‘s VP of current programming Jennifer Gerstenblatt revealed the network is in talks for a second season of Famous In Love. But should there be another season? Do the viewers want to see more?
Tell us what you think. Should Freeform cancel Famous In Love or renew it for a second season?
8/3/17 update: Freeform has renewed Famous In Love for a second season. Details here.
There were things at the end of season one that NEED to be answered. I may die if there not. Being on season 2
Renewed, I’m in love with this show!
I’m an actor over 49, and really enjoyed the show . Please do a 2nd season …

Couldn’t stop watching season 1…..there should definitely be a season 2. On the look out for season 2 dates.
There should most definitely a season 2, it is the best TV series ever I am falling in love with it and I don’t want to hang on a cliffhanger.
