ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

Forever is, in my (and so many other’s) opinion, the best show on TV. Please renew it. It deserves more than just one season!
There are good shows on TV, but just a few really reach our hearts.
FOREVER is one of them, with excellent performances, intriguing scripts and profound messages about life and death. It’s my wish and hope for a second season. I trust the ABC executives to make the right decision and to consider all the factors. Primarily, what I think is essential is its high quality, which is hard to find on TV these days. #RENEWFOREVER

This is a stellar program. And it’s overseas ratings are doing very very well. This show needs to be renewed and placed in a stronger timeslot AND ABC needs to pay closer attention to internet impressions. Not everything lives or dies by Nielsen alone. #Forever Please renew this show ABC.

My husband and I LOVE Forever. It’s one of the few truly intelligent shows that is on the air right now. The stories are interesting and well written. And the cast is developing a really good chemistry with each other. Please, please keep this show on the air!
Husband and I are avid fans of the show (yes, we are elderly and love it!)….the use of immortality by the writers has been most rewarding…i.e., living life today is so important…etc.!!! The only things that may inspire your viewership is the understanding by your detective of Henry’s lot in life, and the love that Abigail and Henry shared could now be brought to new heights with the detective. Please don’t cancel. It’s the best on TV. We love it. We don’t like when it’s not on. Look the concept is great. Look they came out with a new movie. “Adeline”! You guys had it first!! Give it a chance. Change the day, time what ever you have to do. Acting is great. Come on. If they see it, they love it.
