ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

Please don’t cancel Forever. It’s new and has a lovely twist. And i want to see how the show evolves now the cat is out of the bag.

Love, love, love this show!!! Why do they keep cancelling great shows with interesting content and continue to air moronic reality TV shows? It just doesn’t make sense! Maybe an intelligent TV exec will realize that this show should be continued and another network will pick it up….Lets all put this thought into the universe and maybe it will happen!!!

I love Forever. It’s so interesting. The cast is fantastic the plot is great to watch unfold and the mystery of how be became immortal is a constant question you’re always hoping to get a glimpse at. And there’s even an immortal villain. COME ON. What more can we ask for in a tv show? There’s no drama, no vulgarity. It’s clean, crisp and refreshing. I feel like shows have to be sexy or vulgar now or drama riddled to last. And that’s a real darn shame.
My husband is in a hospital bed in our living-room and this is one show that we like to watch on Tuesday nights. There aren’t that many good shows on TV anymore and this was one of the better ones! I cannot believe it wasn’t renewed and ABC has planned to cancel it. I hope that they will rethink their decision and please renew this show! One season is not enough…the story isn’t over…I don’t think I want to watch ABC anymore.

characters are given a chance to exist again. I have no objection to any other cancellation and I do not usually comment on such things. I hope something can be done.

Do our opinions really matter? Carry any weight? I really look forward to watching Forever and just disgusted you are cancelling it. Too many shows hat I like are being cancelled, like Stalker, so I am just going to stop watching TV as much. I am encouraging other people to do the same. Enough is Enough!

The way they judge how many people are watching a show needs to be changed it should be how any people record/dvr plus the people who watch the show. As probably double the 4.8 million watch the show just not the day it airs because they don’t have time at that point when it comes out.
With all of the ridicules TV shows that are on, why cancel this one? This is one of the few decent shows on. In my mind I think this show far surpasses Castle, which is getting to be the same show over and over… I bet they are underestimating the popularity of “Forever”, I think a lot of people record the show on their DVR’s and watch it later, so their Nielsen numbers are way off! I loved this show. It was the only show I watched. I have been upset before about stations canceling shows but this is the first time I have done anything about it because this show is truly worth it. So far I have signed three petitions and I have e-mailed ABC. I can’t believe this show was canceled it was amazing. Please someone pick up this show! The fans are loyal and will follow the show wherever it goes.
