ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

I like the show a lot but I don’t watch it live. There has to be a better way to run TV than the archaic ratings system.

I really hope you are smart enough to renew Forever! My husband and I feel it’s one of the best – if not THE BEST – new show around, soooo much better than all the horrible “reality” shows. The characters are likeable and the story lines refreshing. If the Tuesday night time slot is a problem, please try a new slot before deciding to cancel. This show is a keeper!! Can’t wait for new episodes!
So many really fab show that do not exploit sex or promote trigger happy avaricious morons are constantly being cancelled . “Normal” people who seek entertainment for R& R cannot find anything on the box these days. KEEP THIS SHOW ! & Bring back The E – Ring ,and Six Degrees of Separation;and while you’re at it I wouldn’t mind seeing The 10th Kingdom again.

I rarely watch sci-fi, zombie, supernatural, etc., type shows. But I love this program. Don’t ask me why the getting killed and then popping out of the water as good as new and back to his life doesn’t make me throw things at my TV, but it doesn’t. I think it’s because the premise is new and the stories are good and the cast is great. I like the chemistry between Henry and Jo — they seem really good together. Great show and well worth watching, don’t want it cancelled. It needs to be given a chance, so many shows come and go and it’s great to finally have something to sit down and look forward to watching. This is one of the better shows on TV at the moment. The cast are great and enjoyable to watch. Hope they keep it going in the New Year, be such a shame to cancel….
I wasn’t too sure I’d like Mr. Fantastic in yuet another crime show, but I have to say that the previews intrigued me enough that I watched the pilot online. In fact, I watched it several times! The reveal about Abe literally made my brain cellls spark. When I saw the tattoo on the baby’s arm and it was trnsitioned, I think my mind took the leap a split second before the camera filled it in. Love this show so much. It resembles to other shows (detectives, murder investigations, etc.) but certainly “Forever” is very unique on it’s own. This is the only show I watch on ABC so I will be glad if they keep this show this time. There was a great and excellent drama that I loved and followed years back (Missing by Ashley Judd) but ABC cut it on it’s first season. they need to leave this show alone, it’s great! It feels like Sherlock Holmes to me. The idea, the stories and the history added in make it truly interesting to me. People actually need to follow and use their brains. Stop canceling shows after a few episodes, the numbers game is stupid. I dvr everything and watch it days later. This is one of the few shows I actually watch local TV for because before this and Chicago fire/pd I only watched cable.

Please give FOREVER every possible chance to stay on-air! It has so much story potential going for it, and a cast of solid,seasoned professional actors, who know their craft.
Change whatever needs to be changed to save it from cancellation!!!! It’s far too early to think of such things as snuffing this one out!

I like the show and think ABC should stick with it. This practice of cancelling shows after a few episodes is truly annoying. Even good shows need a genuine chance. Forever should get a real run, rather than just a a brief trial.
It should be kept. Thankfully it doesn’t sport crap like “How to Get Away with Murder” and other shows like it which indulges in overt perversions. Those smut-filled shows offer just that, smut. They aren’t smart, just smut. “Forever” offers something more than that and unfortunately it doesn’t have the ratings they’d hoped. Very unfortunate, indeed.
This show really needs a 9 o’clock time slot. The problem is, the demographic that watches doesn’t seem to be the 20 somethings that advertisers are looking for. I’m 40. I love this show and I love the cast. It deserves a chance. Castle got one and I really think that shows on its way out. There’s so much that can be done with Dr. Morgan’s character. It does remind of Castle a lot in a way, however I do feel Castle is on it’s way to be cancelled anytime, possibly this season or at least one more.
Excellent show. Interesting concept (although at first I though they were ripping off Sleepy Hollow). Love the characters and the actors. Please don’t cancel. Move it if needed, but give this show a chance. I usually don’t watch shows on ABC, but Forever is one of their better ones.
