ABC is still trying to fill that Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot. Many ABC shows have been given that timeslot and they’ve all been cancelled — Killer Women, Body of Proof and Lucky 7, to name just a few. So, how’s the new Forever TV show doing? Will it break the trend or be cancelled as well?
On the Forever TV show, New York City’s star medical examiner is Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd). He can ascertain things that most can not because of his vast experience — he’s been alive for 200 years but can’t figure out how or why. The rest of the cast includes Alana de la Garza, Lorraine Toussaint, Donnie Keshawarz, Joel David Moore, and Judd Hirsch.
The series got off to an okay start, following the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on a Monday night. It attracted a 1.7 rating with 8.59 million viewers. The following night, in its permanent timeslot, the demo rose slightly but viewership dropped.

In week two, the ratings tumbled to a 1.4 in the demo with 5.69 million. In week three, they fell even lower and last week’s installment hit new lows with a 1.1 demo rating and 4.81 million viewers.
Just four weeks into the season and this show is already in serious trouble. ABC needs a successful show to fill the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot and it’s clear that Forever isn’t the answer to their prayers. It’s unlikely that they’ll order any installments beyond their initial 13 episode order.
Will all of the episodes air? I suspect that ABC will release the six remaining episodes — probably before the holidays. The network may find other programming to air in the Tuesdays at 10pm timeslot during at least some of November sweeps however.
Either way, unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the ratings, Forever is as good as cancelled. It’s yet another TV show about an immortal that will see its life cut short.

Forever is an outstanding show and I look forward to watching it each week on ABC. The show hits highest marks on a number of descriptors: entertaining, intelligent, suspenseful, threaded plot, and well-acted. Forever has the potential to be a long-running show. It would be a very bad decision for ABC to discontinue this show.

I love this show! I am a film major at SFUAD and this show is beautifully made! The writing is fantastic, the cinematography makes me really happy because it is so well done, the casting and the acting is phenomenal, and it is a very fun and interesting show! In fact, it has become my favorite show in these last six episodes! I love the way the characters are written, because I already care about them. I cared about them from the first episode. please do not cancel Forever, this show is a really amazing fresh new show. my whole family LOVES this show, The cast is so wonderful and act so well all together. The stories are so well written and keep us coming back for more. just does not seem fair that this show might not get the chance it deserves.

Seriously, keep the show. Only procedural I haven’t guessed in first minutes AND only show 3 generations agree on, which hasn’t happened in a decade since Veronica Mars.
Not show’s fault ABC botched the marketing; beyond botched — 8 ways wrong. Keep the show, cancel the marketing director.
