TV show description:
A fantasy crime drama, this TV series follows New York City’s star medical examiner — Doctor Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), handsome man with a secret past. No matter how hard he tries, Henry can’t age even a single day — he’s immortal. He doesn’t know much about what happens when he “dies” except that everything on him disappears and he reemerges in a body of water, naked.
Henry doesn’t just study the dead to solve criminal cases however. He does it to try to solve the mystery that has eluded him for 200 years — the reason for his own inexplicable immortality.
Henry’s long life has given him remarkable observation skills which impresses his new partner, Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza). This piques her curiosity about who he is. Each new case and their budding friendship reveal layers of Henry’s long and colorful past. Jo’s sharp, no-nonsense instincts and her ability to close difficult cases have given her a tough-as-nails reputation on the force, despite also dealing with the untimely loss of her husband.
Lucas Wan (Joel David Moore) is a twenty-something self-proclaimed “artisan of death” and Henry’s worshipful assistant. He considers mortuary science an art, and Henry its Picasso. After transplanting to New York City from rural Ohio, Lucas worked up the courage to introduce himself to the star medical examiner at a crime scene.
A Brooklyn native, Detective Hanson (Donnie Keshawarz) works alongside Jo and has worked his way up to the NYPD’s elite squad of homicide detectives. He’s a family man who lives with his wife and two children in Queens. Unafraid of bending the rules to get the job done, Hanson is sometimes skeptical of Henry’s talent but often admires its effectiveness.
No one knows Henry better than his best friend and confidant, an antique shop owner named Abe (Judd Hirsch). The keeper of Henry’s immortality secret, Abe’s “carpe diem” philosophy inspires Henry to get more in touch with the beauty of living. Abe is not immortal but he is determined to make the most out of every moment of life.
Episode #22 — The Last Death of Henry Morgan
Henry and Adam have been on a long, unrelenting collision course, which is about to come to a head – possibly bringing about one man’s death – with only Jo standing in the way. Henry and Jo’s murder investigation into a museum worker’s death centers on a priceless missing ancient dagger, which not only ended the life of Julius Caesar, but also killed Adam the first time.
Meanwhile, Adam knows that there is something that Henry fears more than death – that Jo might discover his mystery. The two men tangle in a tumultuous game-changing confrontation.
First aired: May 5, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Forever TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?

What the crap best show on tv with all the crap on TV not worth to watch this is one of the good ones bring it back
I love this show. it should not have be cancelled. I do not watch much t.v. but I never mist this show!
Forever had a rare blend of intriguing plots, excellent acting, right-on casting, and well-written dialogue. It should continue.
Please do not cancel the show Forever.
Its one of the few interesting ones you have. I’ll watch.
Renew series! One of the most clever stories with heart, intrigue and wonderful cast.
I’m sad to see that this show has been cancelled. The networks keep stupid shows like NCIS, Marvels Angebts of Shield and HawIi Five-O, Yet they get rid of a show that is quite entertaining and funny. Sad, sad day.
Can not believe they cancelled this one! What will it take to bring this back?
Forever was a great show and every time you have a great show it is canceled.
Is there a cable channel like USA who likes ” “characters” that would pick this great show up. Maybe ABC will reconsider by Nov sweeps month when other programs fail.
They were a great team and I, like others, miss them.
Sincerely hope Forever fans will have more than the one season on dvd to watch.
This show should be picked up by another network. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season and things were getting mighty interesting at the end. It deserves to wrap-up properly.
Loved the show. Keep hoping Forever will be picked up by another channel. Great entertainment. Enjoyed the interactions of the characters. It brightened my Tuesday nights.
Best show in a very long time. Great stories and great acting by all!!!! Like Tom said get rid of all the reality shows.
Who in heck makes these decisions?? My whole family loved this show, it had so many twists and historic events that peeked the curiosity of my teens. It got them reading about the past events–like slavery, old guns and their progression to be the weapons of today, the Holocaust and, the shipping industry in the 1600’s to present. The characters we well played and matched; they were believable. The mystery around how the main character became invincible/immortal still lingers. The reaction the female detective, Jo Martinez, would have shown when told Henry’s secret remains a mystery. And Judd Hirsch. Henry’s… Read more »
I’ve been following this thread ever since Forever got cancelled. I loved that show and by the show of hands on this post, it looks like a lot of people liked it as well. I never read any bad reviews or saw anything negative about the concept, the acting or writing. As a matter of fact, I have seen nothing but praise for this show. What will it take to bring it back?
Well, there are petitions and Matt Miller is shopping the show around to SyFy, USA, etc. But, that takes a long time, so we may not know what happens until months from now. Meanwhile, sign any petitions you see.
It’s sad when the networks stoop so low to put on these dumb reality shows, and get rid of good drama.
What a shame to cancel such a great show with a great weekly story line. Get rid of all those lousy reality shows & keep the great ones like Forever. What are the network executives thinking when they make such dumb decisions ???????
