There’s been a lot of hype that The Mob Doctor will be the first FOX show to be cancelled. But, are the ratings really that bad?
Well, to be blunt, yes they are. Mob Doctor had a poor debut and the ratings have gotten worse from there. As you can see from the chart below, it’s the worst-rated show on the network if you exclude Friday night shows Fringe and Kitchen Nightmares.
It will surely be cancelled but at least FOX seems committed to producing the 13 episodes that they ordered. However, if the ratings keep dropping, I have doubts that they’ll let them all air.

These charts incorporate the daily final FOX show ratings (reported by Nielsen) and are sorted by the 18-49 demographic. Network advertisers typically prize those viewers most and so will pay more to reach them. There’s lots of information that the networks take into consideration when cancelling or renewing a TV series but the ratings are the biggest factor. The higher the ratings, the better chance that the show will be renewed. And yes, they take it into account when a show airs on a Friday or Saturday night.

I think it is a really good show. If it gets cancelled it will be a real shame. I am sick and tired of the same old crap-Reality shows, Lawyer shows and Cop shows.
I’m surprised the show hasn’t become a hit. This is a compelling show with an excellent cast.
I DON’T THINK WE GIVE NEW SHOWS A TIME TO “SETTLE IN.”
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GIVE THIS PARTICULAR SHOW A CHANCE.

Very good show people that say “it’s over-the-top and unbelievable” or “unrealistic stories” COME ON!! its a TV program I want them to be like that!
I love this show and hope the numbers improve so I can at least see the 13 episodes!!
Wow, it’s doing barely better than Fringe and on a much better night than Fringe, too.
I’m surprised it is still on. Boring and unrealistic stories, dull lead. Wish the mob would whack this show.
BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR AN APPERANCE FROM MICHEAL MADSEN SOON
Great show ! Love it…what is the problem ? Good story , hot actress…recipe for success..
I’m surprised the show hasn’t been canceled given its poor ratings. I think they’ve got a great cast. Jordana Spiro is as a leading actress, but it’s the writing for the show that fails. The concept of the show is over-the-top and unbelievable.
