Tonight marks the season finale of Gang Related on FOX. It’s been a season of twists and turns but have the ratings been strong enough for the show to be renewed for a second season — or will it be cancelled instead?
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.
The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers. That was a poor showing right out of the gate and, over the course of the season, the ratings have gotten even worse. Last week’s episode installment hit a new low with a 0.6 demo rating and just 2.01 million viewers.
The season’s averaged a 0.8 rating with 2.56 million. Compared to the network’s other summer shows, Gang Related is performing well behind MasterChef, 24, Hotel Hell, and So You Think You Can Dance.
Though expectations are lower for summer series, it’s highly unlikely that FOX will want to renew Gang Related for a second season. The ratings are just too low — and they’ve essentially been getting worse week after week. More than likely, the execs will roll the dice and try a new program next year.

Please do not cancelled the show Gang Related. I love this show and waiting for the second season. The show is awesome and the actors are great. so give it another season it will get better with viewers. I told my daughter about it and she was mad that she did not started to see before , after she saw the two last episodes with me. She was amazed.
this show can’t be canceled, there isn’t to many shows out like “gang related” different story different type, it has to be another season. Please
PLEASE PLEASE renew the show! First season was good and have a very interesting ending and I know people would like to know the plot of season two. Javier is Dead for sure and Daniel will get kill probably by his brother or he will team up with Ryan and run stuff. This is a very good program for a different type of people. Not everyone want to see MasterChef, 24, Hotel Hell, and So You Think You Can Dance, good shows but is pretty much the same thing every network shows. Renew it! The show is exciting and twisted! We all need a break from scripted reality tv shows.
I would renew it and,advertise it wider. I think a lot of people aren’t aware of the show.
I believe it would be a big Hit if it was on during regular season. It is one of the best shows on TV in years.
Renew Gang related! My family and I love it! The network should promote the show more. Give it another chance! The other shows on Fox are a bit tiresome. Gang related is different and exciting!

Please renew, by far one of the best shows I’ve watched in a very long time. There are to many reality shows out there and its getting old already! Lots of twists and turns keeps you on the edge of your seat!!!!!!! We need a season 2 what about Daniel!!!!!!! He can run Los Angelicos!!!!!!!!
