Tonight marks the season finale of Gang Related on FOX. It’s been a season of twists and turns but have the ratings been strong enough for the show to be renewed for a second season — or will it be cancelled instead?
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.
The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers. That was a poor showing right out of the gate and, over the course of the season, the ratings have gotten even worse. Last week’s episode installment hit a new low with a 0.6 demo rating and just 2.01 million viewers.
The season’s averaged a 0.8 rating with 2.56 million. Compared to the network’s other summer shows, Gang Related is performing well behind MasterChef, 24, Hotel Hell, and So You Think You Can Dance.
Though expectations are lower for summer series, it’s highly unlikely that FOX will want to renew Gang Related for a second season. The ratings are just too low — and they’ve essentially been getting worse week after week. More than likely, the execs will roll the dice and try a new program next year.

This show was amazing! I think they should look at the Hulu #’s as well. I can’t always watch during the week but I always watch on Hulu. Please renew !
Keep this show. Loved it, Yes it is another cop and gang show. But I think that it has a different make up then other ones I have seen
Let Gang Related go on a second season! I agree, at least end the storyline. Word of mouth is spreading and am sure the ratings will go up.
Great show! Everything you want in an action pack movie. Story line keeps you watching weekly. One of the best shows to watch!! I hope to see a 2nd season. It would be a tragedy if not renewed. Fingers crossed 🙂

Pleeeeaassee do not cancel gang related… pleasee!! Those 40 minutes were just like 5. And I want to know what has happened to Javier, and I’m sure I’m not the only one!! Sp! c’mon. I mean nearly everYone wants a second season. And I think the ratings will be better
Would like to see season 2 for the show or at least finished the story line. End instead of all of us hanging as most shows do.
I love this show! It has captivated me since the first episode! The actors are awesome and the storyline keeps you wanting more….please don’t cancel this show…it’s one of the good ones!!!

I give this show a five star rating. It is very thrilling and keeps me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I think it is a great show, and should definitely have a second season.
I hope they renew the Show gang related I just started watching the series It is a great show I love it. I work third shift and I just got a change to watch the last episode I got into it and watch the older shows on hulu plus Please do not cancel it give a little more time
