Tonight marks the season finale of Gang Related on FOX. It’s been a season of twists and turns but have the ratings been strong enough for the show to be renewed for a second season — or will it be cancelled instead?
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.
The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers. That was a poor showing right out of the gate and, over the course of the season, the ratings have gotten even worse. Last week’s episode installment hit a new low with a 0.6 demo rating and just 2.01 million viewers.
The season’s averaged a 0.8 rating with 2.56 million. Compared to the network’s other summer shows, Gang Related is performing well behind MasterChef, 24, Hotel Hell, and So You Think You Can Dance.
Though expectations are lower for summer series, it’s highly unlikely that FOX will want to renew Gang Related for a second season. The ratings are just too low — and they’ve essentially been getting worse week after week. More than likely, the execs will roll the dice and try a new program next year.

F*ck this show. How do u kill off the main reason alot of us watched this show for? Before tonight I would say renew but now cancel it.
Gang Re-lated is a must Re-NEW we need a second season I don’t know when was the last time I actually wanted to see tv if it wasn’t watching my Patriots play on Sundays my girlfriend and I just can’t get enough of gang related and hate that we have to wait 6 more days just to watch what happens next wish they could show it everyday if Fox doesn’t renew season 2 THEY HAVE LET ALL THERE VIEWERS DOWN
Renew please if you start the show early in season instead in summer when family are outside I bet more people will watch my favorite show. Do reruns of season 1 this fall and see how it goes love this show

I like this show. I hope they renew it. The problem is not the acting but weak scripts.
I do t know about it being the next breaking bad … But the show is great I like it a lot it does remind me of sons of anarchy but yes I do hope to see a season 2

We need this show to come back there is no other show that’s better than this one every show does bad when it starts because they aren’t promoting it the write way the more u spend the better the first 2 seasons do. Nobody knows the show because it started in the summer and everyone is on vacation of course it won’t have so much views
Please renew! My husband and I made sure our 1yr old was out for the count at 7:45 so we wouldn’t miss anything.

I personally LOVE the show. It is the only show that I refuse to miss Any Week of. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I watch this with both of my teenagers and we all love it and look forward to seeing it every single week. If you cancel, I can guarantee, I will not watch what replaces it and my teenagers won’t either.
