As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

what are you guys doing canceling gang related, this a great show, you need to start letting people vote on your website whether to keep it or not, not your stupid rating system, many fans of the show did not know was on until mid summer, then had to find the shows to start from beginning to catch up, you did not advertise this show very well this is all FOX’S problem not gang related, bring it back on or people try to get ABC,NBC,ETC., if anybody reading this start asking other networks like ABC, NBC, ETC., for them to… Read more »
I can not believe fox canceled this amazing show with a amazing cast and story line. A lot of people did not even know the show was on fox and played in the summer time. When people finally did start watching it was into the middle of the scene. POOR marketing on fox part and poor timing to have show like that come out. One of my favorite shows ever – kept my interest every minute of every show. This would have blown the ratings in a non-summer time slot. I am sick of the boring crime scene shows and lame comedies.
Although it was a great show. The reason I believe it did have enough rating is because the performance of some main actors. I believe the story behind is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and expect to Fox to keep creating those stories but having a better luck chasing actors.
This was an amazing show , I watched the entire season in one day … it’s a shame this show is already canceled . if it was marketed correctly I’m sure it would of got the attention of shows such as breaking bad and sons

Yet another argument for amazon and netflix. Where shows like gang related thrive. Network fail to see a good show when they have em. If it was an obnoxious reality show we would have a 2nd season. Fox! Pull tour heads out your ass and bring back the show!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow im so shocked i wasnt aware that there wouldnt be a second season. Me and my family were so looking forward to the second season and we wouldve definitely watched it on a different channel
Bring that show back!!!!! I would watch it on any channel! The low ratings were probably due to the summer and low advertisement. I saw it on hulu and was hooked after the first episode. Bring it back!!!!!!!
