Is the Queen of Soul coming to National Geographic? Deadline reports Aretha Franklin may be the subject of Genius‘ third season.
Each season of the anthology drama explores the life of an influential and innovative historical figure. Season one covered Albert Einstein and season two highlighted Pablo Picasso.
National Geographic Channel has not confirmed the subject of Genius‘ third season, but Deadline says producers are considering the story of Aretha Franklin, who passed away this year at the age of 76.

Whilst the second season was good, it did fail to stick with the premise of the title.
Genius is not about talent per se.
So the next one should concentrate on what would be traditionally seen as genius.
