TV show description:
A drama series set in New York City, God Friended Me revolves around a thoughtful and outspoken podcaster named Miles Finer (Hall). Miles is an atheist and that puts him at odds with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Morton), a beloved and longtime preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church.
Miles’ life is turned upside down when he receives a friend request on social media from a user named “God”. He ignores and declines the request but it keeps coming back so, out of curiosity, he accepts and the mystery deepens as he digs deeper into his new friend’s account.
He’s led to Cara Bloom (Beane), an online journalist who’s been struggling with writer’s block. Intrigued by Miles’ story, Cara joins him in investigating friend suggestions from “God” and they end up helping others in need — while learning things about themselves.
Miles and Cara are aided by Ali Finer (Leslie), Miles’ supportive sister. She’s a doctoral psych student by day and a bartender by night. Also lending a hand is Rakesh Singh (Sharma), Miles’ best friend and a sometimes hacker who needs some help on the social side of his life.
Miles is convinced that the “God” account is an elaborate hoax and is devoted to uncovering the truth. In the meantime, he’s playing along and, in the process, seeing his life changed forever.

Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali, as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.

This stinks (I kept it g-rated). God Friended Me is a feel-good show. CBS stinks. Now 2 of my favorite shows are gone, along with Hawaii Five-O. I hope another network picks it up, like Fox did when ABC canceled Last Man Standing. Why would CBS cancel it? With all of the tragic & depressing stuff going on, here’s a show that will, at least, make you feel good.
We enjoy God Friended Me and we are very disappointed that it is being cancelled. Please reconsider and continue the show.
This was my favourite show. I am also really upset. Please Please renew it!!!! It’s the only feel good show on t.v. And we definitely need it at this time. Best writing and acting ever.
I hate it when my favie shows get the axe. I simply do not understand how they reason things out at times. Shows that I do not like go forever and ones I do get axed. Argh
I liked the show. No explicit sex. No violence. Bring it back!!!
This is my favorite show. I am really bummmmmed. CBS is off my Christmas list forever. Maybe it will be picked up somewhere else. Hope so.
Oh no this can’t be cancelled we need to know if Cara & Miles get back together and if his sister gets over cancer!!
I looked forward every week to watch God Friended Me. This has been our family’s favorite to watch together. It has been inspirational and a feel good show! And there are way too few of these. Please please don’t cancel this show!!!
God friended Me is a wonderful show. Please reconsider in regards to cancellation. The cast is wonderful also.
Please do not cancel this show as it is one of the best shows on. I look forward every week to watching it as it always has so many good episodes and always keeps me interested…..So sad and every time I like a show they cancel it way too soon..
I love this show. So sad to hear it is going to be canceled. Do not understand why you are not renewing for a new season. There are very few shows that everyone can watch together. This show is refreshing compared to all the DARK shows being aired today on all the channels. Please reconsider! A fan.

I read that this show is watched by people ages 18 – 49 well I’m 56 and love this show and honestly I think it’s a big mistake that ya’ll are canceling it. How many times is CBS going to air a show for a few seasons and get people so into it just to cancel it . This is so messed up
Pleasae don’t cancel this show. I wish this show wasn’ t going to be canceled. It is none like any other show. It carries a positive influence unlike any of the other shows.

How do we get the show back on? CBS please consider renewing God Friended Me especially when we need faith more than ever.
