December 7, 2016 – CBS All Access, the CBS Television Network’s digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service, today announced its first original drama series, THE GOOD FIGHT, will premiere on Sunday, Feb.19. The series premiere will be available on-demand on CBS All Access beginning at 8:00 PM ET. In addition, a special broadcast preview of the premiere will air on the CBS Television Network that same night, Sunday, Feb.19 at 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT. After premiere night, all new episodes will be available weekly on Sundays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers.
“CBS All Access has built tremendous momentum in the past year – passing one million subscribers, launching our first original with BIG BROTHER: OVER THE TOP and, most recently, bringing live NFL ON CBS programming to the service,” said Marc DeBevoise, President and Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive. “We’re continuing this momentum with the upcoming launch of THE GOOD FIGHT which promises to not only deliver more ambitious premium programming for our subscribers but an opportunity for world-class creators like Robert and Michelle King to push the envelope in new ways.”
THE GOOD FIGHT picks up one year after the events of the final broadcast episode of “The Good Wife.” In the new series, an enormous financial scam has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia Rindell, while simultaneously wiping out her mentor and godmother Diane Lockhart’s savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago’s pre-eminent law firms.
The series, from “The Good Wife” creators Robert and Michelle King, stars Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Delroy Lindo, Sarah Steele, Paul Guilfoyle, Bernadette Peters, Justin Bartha and Erica Tazel.
Robert and Michelle King serve as showrunners and executive producers of the new series. Phil Alden Robinson co-wrote and executive produced the premiere episode with the Kings. Ridley Scott, David Zucker, Liz Glotzer, Brooke Kennedy and Alison Cross also serve as executive producers. Kennedy, directed the premiere episode. The series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions. The series will be distributed worldwide by CBS Studios International.
THE GOOD FIGHT is CBS All Access’s first original drama series. It follows fall’s launch of the service’s first reality series, a digital-only edition of BIG BROTHER titled BIG BROTHER: OVER THE TOP. CBS All Access will debut its second original, scripted series, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY in May 2017 and continue to expand its lineup of original series with additional programming to be announced.
THE GOOD FIGHT is available exclusively on the CBS All Access digital subscription service and accessible online at CBS.com, on mobile devices via the CBS App for iOS, Android and Windows 10, and on Roku Players, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation4 and Fire TV. In addition to THE GOOD FIGHT, CBS All Access gives subscribers the ability to stream their local CBS station live, including sporting events like the NFL ON CBS, and watch more than 8,500 episodes on demand – spanning current shows from CBS Television’s primetime, daytime and late night line up, as well as past seasons of select series and classic TV hits.
What do you think? Do you plan to watch The Good Fight on CBS All Access?
I loved the first night and have been looking for it not realizing that it is only available on CBS All Access… Would love to watch this program, but will not pay just to get it. Too bad… it is a loss for both myself and the program as I am sure others will not pay additional to watch it.
Are you serious? There is no way I will add to my already overpriced cable Bill. Why pay extra when there are so many other choices to watch on our present channels. If no one says yes, maybe it will be shown on cable without robbing the public!! Every time we turn around, someone’s coming up with a way to take more hard earned money out of our wallets!! Enough is enough!!
It looks like it will be very good, but no, I will NOT pay to watch it….My cable bill is already too high and the service substandard….I will not pay more to watch another program…that is crazy!
Do I have to watch good wife to understand the good fight? this looks really good from the previews
No i will not pay to watch this TV show
