If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

Load of CRAP ABC……….
I am ver disappointed that once again ABC pulls out a very good show( do you remember “The Nine” a few years ago?). Happy town had the potential to become a modern “Twin Peaks” (without the good soundtrack!). On the other hand mediocre shows like “Castle” continues unabated, telling people that the so-called ” ratings” are in fact just the ABC leaders’ mood rather than the viewers opinion. Hopefully another network will give it a chance to thrive in the near future.
You should have used this as a summer replacement and place the show on a Saturday like “Harper Island” Too bad and sad…..Didn’t your network pull “Flash
Forward” also? I think I’ll spend my time on CBS.
I am very disappointed the show was canceled so quickly….I found it intriguing & interesting, with the loss of LOST it was my new “what the heck will happen next week” show!! It reminds me of getting hooked on INVASION only to have it canceled in its first season as well! I am now leery of getting hooked on the other new show I found intriguing which is The Gates, as I don’t want to see ABC pull another show prematurely before actually being able to gauge an audiences interest, so few episodes is hardly a gauge. I personally have… Read more »
I’m so tired of watching shows that get canceled before the mysteries are solved. Networks never give shows a chance to survive these days. They yank them before they even have a chance to find a following. I’m just going to start watching movies.
My mother and I have been waiting to see the end. At least when you cancel finish the series! How rude !!!!
THIS WAS AN AWESOME SERIES – JUST LIKE FLASH FORWARD – DON’T UNDERSTAND THE POWERS THAT BE PULLING BOTH OF THESE AND LEAVING SO MANY OTER STUPID SHOWS ON
this is just like ABC to drop a show that actually keeps a persons interest for more then a minute. i am so tired of putting my time into a show for it to be ripped away with no thought at all. but yet wipe out is still around. what do they think that people are not smart enough for a great “who done it”. my husband and i will no longer watch any new shows on ABC it is just a waste.
we should all boycott abc i really started to like happytown and then they pulled im done with abc i will not watch abc
NOT HAPPY. I was beginning to LOVE Happy Town. Networks are to quick to pull shows nowadays and just put on some lame reality show. sigh….
We enjoyed the show and thought our TIVO somehow missed the last episode!!
Bummer!!
I think its stupid to air a mystery show and not show the ending. I mean why get all interested in a show that you never get to see the conclusion to the mystery. It makes me not want to watch any of the networks pilot shows because if i get interested and its canceled, I’m left hanging out there with no resolution to the show. I think the network show just air the last two episodes that ties all the episodes and chalk up their losses. The actors already got paid so why not air the rest of the… Read more »
Just watched the last aired episode from my DVR…and am extremely disappointed that ABC didn’t have the decency to air the final two episodes. Oh, how the almighty dollar reigns supreme. That’s OK, though…we still have the compelling, thought-provoking, quality programming of the Bachelorette to entertain us.
Give me an f’ing break…
We enjoyed the mini-series, when they would air. We’d much rather watch the ending of this versus repeats of Castle or other series. Our vote is for ABC to finish it COMPLETELY in a standard prime time airing slot during the summer.
The shows are on ABC.com now! The last two
I was intrigued with the show. Would like to have seen it have a consistent time slot. It’s difficult to stay with a show when you don’t know if or when it will be coming back on.
