If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

Why don’t the give these new shows time to find their audience? if a show doesn’t get good ratings the first airing they’re pulling it. U get into the mystery, what to know who is behind it all and the show just disappears. maybe that’s the ANSWER to the real mystery; ABC IS BEHIND THIS, THEY DID IT, IN A BOARD ROOM, WITH A ELECTRONIC SWITCH.
Ok we figured it out, now stop already; stop promising us these mysteries then stealing us of the big reveal.
At first I thought it was really stupid with super cheesey acting, but after a few episodes I was getting into it. I wish that they would have shown the last two.
I am really upset that they pulled the show. They finally put a show worth watching and they cancel it?? Unacceptable.
The netwoorks no longer give series a chance b 4 they cancell them
I like Happy Town and would like to see a full story. I also enjoy Castle, but if ABC must “postpone” Happy Town in favor of a Nathan Fillion rerun, I vote for Firefly. Firefly is just as good the second time around.
So disappointed. I liked HT, reminded me of Twin Peaks. Figures…… Enjoyed Harpers Isl so much last summer, was anticipating another weekly mystery.
This show was pretty good and I was looking forward the the last two episodes. It was way better then all of the reality shows and so you think you can dance/have tallent/ walk and chew gum/ shows … kind of upset they cancelled it.
Gee, sounds just like the time they dropped “Invasion” after one season!!! I boycotted ABC the following season…I may have to do that again!!!
Show the rest of the episodes. You do not leave people in limbo.
all 8 episodes are available on Hulu. Loved the show
At first I didn’t think I was going to like Happy Town but I gave it a try. Soon after, I became really interested and wanted to find out who is the Magic Man! Had it on my DVR to record each week and when Castle came on instead. . . it was disappointing! We have already seen all of the Castle episodes (and they are really good) but I’m not interested in seeing reruns! ! I feel it was a poor choice from ABC to cut off Happy Town and leave the viewers just hanging! ! Hope it airs… Read more »
What is wrong with these people! It was, fun, quirky and something to look forward to every week. Would it kill the network to do the right thing and give us all closure. StarTrek is still showing around the world and how many times was it cancelled. Give a show a chance and some advertising!
Another typical move by ABC, the American Bonehead Club. First it introduces a show into its line-up at a bad time of year — spring/summer, when people are starting to do things outside their homes more – then it won’t give a show a decent chance to get a following. Does anyone remember the “old days” when networks gave shows like “Cheers” (the only one that comes to mind) at least a season to catch on? “Cheers” first season ended at rock bottom in the Nielsen ratings, but it found its niche and went on to be the #1 show… Read more »
I personally agree with everyone that Happy Town was a great mystery that should not be shelved. With that being said, people don’t start picking on Castle to vent your anger. Keep it directed at ABC where it belongs. I must admit that I do love Castle. Mystery and romance, nothing much better.
When you brought it back, we were hooked once again, I didn’t the show was that bad.
At least bring it back so we can see the series finale. Don’t just end it the way you did!
