If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

I too am upset but I went to ABC.Com and watched 2 episodes that they didnt show on the air. So maybe they are going to show them on tv only on the internet. I hope this helps everyone because I too wanted to finish the show.
I loved this show… I just never knew when it was on. How can ANY show get decent ratings when the air times are changed every week? Rediculous.
No wonder the broadcast networks have the lowest viewership EVER. Just like when Invasion was cancelled right after a cliff hanger. How do you expect to get ratings when the viewers keep getting yanked around while the networks chase the ratings. I’m just glad NBC did not pull the plug on Seinfeld after the first year of dismall ratings. As for me, I can’t wait for the next 12 episodes in a row of Sons of Anarchy on FX, and Justified on FX was an awesome 12 weeks with no interuptions or network BS. HBO gets a gold star also… Read more »
great show.will we ever see how it ends
I hate that they ended Happy Town without giving it a chance. I’m with the person who said they won’t get involved anymore until things have been on for a year. This is a great show. Why don’t they ask the viewers before they decide to pull shows???????? Now I remember why I rarely watch ABC night time.
I think if ABC if going to start a new series, then they should at least have the courtesy to their “fans” to finish it. Even if the ratings are low, there are still some people out there that have invested their time into this series and would like to see a conclusion.
I can’t believe they took it off the air. It makes me so mad when they do stuff like this.
I too thought Happy Town was like Harper’s Island, Pam! Even though I enjoyed it I never thought the show had what it took to be a regular series but I thought it would make for a great mini series like Harper’s Island. I sure would have liked all of the mysteries to be revealed before they pulled it off. It’s typical television though. Many great shows have been pulled for such silly ones these days…Cane, The Unit, 24 had 8 great seasons so I guess it had to end some time, Shark….I am sure there will be others that… Read more »
You are total jerks to start a series and never finish it. I will never trust abc again. I suspect you will do this at anytime with any series. You suck abc!
It appears the last 2 episodes are available online (abc.com) that makes me a little less mad. At least happy town fans can find a little closure.
Very disappointing, I was really into this show and it’s very frustrating to see another show canceled before it was really given a chance. How hard would it be for them to show the last 2 episodes on Saturday night to at least give the fans some sort of closure, at least run them online so I could watch them.
With all these ridiculous reality shows, Happy Town was a breath of fresh hair. It is a great story line, the acting was excellent and the mystery was fantastic…….Please don’t cut the show out. It will have a following but it will need a little bit longer to catch on with such a interesting story line. It took me a few episodes to catch on and now I’m hooked. Give it a chance.
I thought it was going to be another fun-filled mystery drama like last summer’s Harper’s Island. My daughter and I would watch it together. It was nice to get away from all the reruns. This summer we were all ready for another mystery drama, Happy Town. What the heck?? Who makes the descision to take it off the air…Like i’m going to watch another stupid rerun.. At least Happy Town was new and kept us guessing.
i will not watch another new series on any network station until after one full season has aired. i am so tired of getting invested in series only to have them canceled.
Sick of it. Networks don’t even give sohws a solid chance to gain viewership.
sick of not knowing how things end. sick of it. sick of it. sick of it.
I second that! It’s not worth getting vested in something that you won’t be able to play out.
I soooo agree with this! Why should I give my support to someting that will just end up being pulled. The time frame that this started really should have been taken into account also. Not fair! If they aren’t going to air the last two shows on the network at least post them on line so the viewers that did show their support can feel like their support was worth something!!
IT NOT RIGHT THAT ABC,IS DOING THIS .FRIST IT WAS ”THE FORGOTTEN” AND NOW THIS… WHAT IS NEXT? D.W.T.S. ELLIN. IT’S LIKE ALL THE GOOOD WIGHT SCOWS ARE GOING OFF. IT NOT RIGHT AT ALL
