If you were waiting anxiously to find out the identity of the mysterious Magic Man on ABC’s Happy Town, you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
Happy Town revolves around a bunch of strange disappearances and murders in a small town. The large cast includes Sam Neill, M.C. Gainey, Geoff Stults, Lauren German, Amy Acker, Steven Weber, Ben Schnetzer, Sarah Gadon, Jay Paulson, and Robert Wisdom.
After a disappointing start in the ratings, Happy Town was pulled off the airwaves for much of May. Before the show could return on June 2nd, ABC officially cancelled the series. Only eight episodes have been filmed but at least answers to some of the TV show’s mysteries will be revealed by the end.
Unfortunately, ABC has pulled the show off the air once again. Happy Town was scheduled to take next Wednesday off but return for June 30th and July 7th with the last installments. The network has decided, likely because Happy Town’s ratings have gotten really bad, to replace them with repeats of Castle.
It’s likely that ABC will get around to airing the last two episodes of Happy Town on a Saturday night sometime this summer. It won’t be soon though. On July 3rd, they’ll burn off the last episodes of the forgotten. On July 10th, the network’s airing the extra two episodes of Eastwick. Could Happy Town return on July 17th? Another mystery that we’ll have to wait to have solved.
What do you think? Are you upset that ABC has pulled the last two episodes of Happy Town? Do you think they’ll ever air?

ABC sucks, the least they could do is post the last episodes on their website so we could watch them there. This is why no one watches very many shows on ABC, when they finally put on a good show they don’t even show all the episodes.
really?!?! I need to know what happens… This was actually fun to watch. there are worse shows out there. I dont like ABC anymore.
Of course it got bad ratings – no one ever knew when to tune in!!!! Idiots at ABC…you need to pick a time slot, and then actually air the program there REGULARLY so people get used to it and start to tune in. I’ve liked Happy Town…but most of the times I checked listings to see if it was on, it wasn’t. Ratings would have improved if you’d given it a fair chance!
I am so disappointed that the “powers that be” cancelled a program that was truly entertaining with a cast that demonstrated the ability to “act”. Who took the polls and just whom were they interviewing? So, shows like “The Bachlorette” stays with “staged” drama and lame-brained participants that cannot find dates on their on can out ranked actors like Sam Neill? Please. This is why ABC cannot win those emmys!!
Oh, and Castle SUCKS!!!
As has been voiced by others, Thanks ABC for officially being on my list of the most idiotic things done by a network! This one was my favorite show to watch. I looked forward every week to see what twist and turn could possibly happen next. The show was written brilliantly as dots were connected in such great ways. No jumping from A-M. A connected well to B which connected to C and so on. This IS a MAJOR disappointment!
ABC=Always Believe in Cancelling!!
@firecap
AMEN!!!
Some series start off with a bang and then fizzle but I thought that Happy Town and their writers were starting to make this series look interesting. Look at how LOST started with throwing tidbits at the viewers and word or mouth got the series to last as long as it did. ABC execs need to make a commitment and have better foresight in something that could have been an adventure to the viewers.
Amazing, ABC you’re officially a bunch of idiots! You have excellent shows and ruin them either by canceling them or changing the way the writers want to make them. I’ll avoid watching your channel in the future!
Great job ABC creating and airing one of the only “look forward to next episode” shows on the summer schedule, get me interested and bang! No answers to all the questions you created to keep my intrest! I don’t think that I will get sold on your network again! Unless maybe you let the creators post a conclusion beyond episode #8 on the internet so the answers can be revealed, or give it a reconsideration for another season.
… I really enjoyed the suspense of Happy Town. It’s a major disappointment to have it pulled out from under us : (
I wonder how the tally the ratings? No one ever asked me what I was watching! How do they even know who was watching and who wasn’t? There could have been millions watching that were not counted! I cannot believe there are people in charge if a network’s survival who are so ignorant! Don’t they realize how many viewers they are losing with this ridiculous reality shows? Gone from primetime are the quality shows. Back in the 80’s and below I could tell you every show on and what time and channel. The other day at work we were talking… Read more »
Thanks alot ABC. Happy Town is the only network show (other than LOST) that I actually found myself looking forward to all week. No more LOST. No more Happy Town. No more ABC. Good job guys.
I can’t believe it! this is so disappointing! It’s the summer show you look forward to! I think it’s wrong to start a show and suddenly decide to cancel it even if ratings are low. also NO warnings you just have to guess what is going on!!
