Heartland isn’t leaving anytime soon. Recently, CBC announced the TV show has been renewed for a 12th season.
The Canadian drama, which airs on UP in the U.S., follows a young woman (Marshall) who has a natural gift with horses. The cast also includes Graham Wardle, Michelle Morgan, Chris Potter, Alisha Newton, Shaun Johnston, Kerry James, Gabriel Hogan, and Nathaniel Arcand.
It’s unclear if UP will pick up season 12 of Heartland for the U.S., though it seems likely. Read CBC‘s renewal announcement below:
Friends & Fans, we can happily confirm that, yes, there will indeed be a twelfth season of Heartland on CBC!
There was much optimism and hopefulness that there would be another season of the longest running one-hour dramatic series in Canadian television history, but now it’s 100% confirmed!
A lot of preparation is going on, at this moment, to get ready for the start of filming. There will be many photos from set and loads of information about the new season for everyone to digest. But today there is one main message only, and that message is: Heartland will be back!
You’ve seen the photo at the top of today’s blog before, but it seems appropriate to share it again. It was taken on one of the last production days of season 11, and it shows the cast & crew who are responsible for the actual filming of Heartland. They’ll be returning, including all the lead cast members, when filming starts in a little over a month from now.

During the American midterm elections, to keep my sanity I binged watched all 10 seasons of Heartland. So happy to see there is an 11th season and absolutely thrilled to know there will a season 12. Now my friends are watching. Thank you for programing with integrity and family values. In this day and age shows like Heartland is needed.
We love Heartland and have been trying to find it on my TV schedule and all I get are reruns. I am so happy that Heartland is being renewed because it is a great family shows. Love the actors on it and hope it keeps on the air for several years. It is the best show and really miss it on Sunday nights.
I did not get to watched Heartland at its beginning, because I was an over the Road truck driver at the time it was aired. My wife and I have found it on Netflix And have watched all 10 seasons. There has never been an episode that has disappointed me. In addition to the story lines the scenery is amazing. The characters are well played and of those horses. A great family show.I am so sorry to see it not continue that was a true family watchable story Just love it.. Great job to the Actors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have watched Heartland since its beginning and faithfully watch it every Sunday evening. There has never been an episode that has disappointed me. In addition to the story lines the scenery is amazing. The characters are well played and of those horses. A great family show. Keep it going.
Watch the shows here in the US every night. Only get the past seasons for
we do not have cable. It is the best family oriented show I have ever seen!!

Please do not ever cancel Heartland. It is, hands down, the best show on TV today. It always has a good plot with interesting characters and every member of our families can watch it without fear of filthy language or questionable morality influencing our children. Keep it up writers!!

I love Heartland and the characters seem so real to me. I am watching reruns now and can’t wait until the new season starts. I am 87 so don’t wait too long. Ha!
