When it began, Heroes was a huge hit for NBC. But then, the storylines got too convoluted, much of the audience lost interest, the ratings dropped and the network cancelled the series without any resolution. Now, they’ve revived it as a mini-series called Heroes Reborn. Will it be a big success and be brought back for a second season or will it be a flop? Stay tuned.
Heroes Reborn takes place a year after a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas. With the city destroyed, the government blamed people with special abilities and they all had to go into hiding. Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) is also in hiding, but is found by conspiracy theorist Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski) who tries to show him the truth. The rest of the cast includes Zachary Levi, Robbie A. Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Rya Kihlstedt, Gatlin Green, Henry Zebrowski, Judith Shekoni, and Danika Yarosh.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/13 update: Despite some hopes from the cast, NBC has decided not to order another season.
1/22 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Heroes Reborn mini-series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I feel like that NBC is thinking about the what “normal” people want to see. But si-fi is the opposite of normal and that’s what I think is what TV needs these days, if you look at doctor who you will see in the first season of the new series with the 9th doctor, they did ok, they didn’t do fantastic nor did they rocket sky high like they thought was going to happen, but after a season or two they started getting up there plus they got in all different country’s in on it. Doctor who become world wide!… Read more »
Am I the only one who thought he ending ruined the whole season soo cheesy lol
I love this show it should be renewed for second season I’d be devistated if they cancel this show
My family and I are definitely rooting for more seasons of Heroes Reborn. I feel like the networks need to take more into account that sci-Fi watchers are more likely to use alternative methods to watch their shows than the normal viewer hence creating lower initial viewing ratings. The characters have barely had a chance to interact yet. It’s too early to cancel.
Gostaria de ajudar na audiencia pois amo Heroes Reborn..but Live in brazil.Não tem Nbc
I do not have access to NBC,how can I help at the point of hearing ?
I live in Brazil
I’ve enjoyed watching Heroes Reborn, old and new cast. Bring it back!
I M totally disappointed that another season will NOT happen. Hopefully Netflix will pick it up or the CW or something. Then maybe the scripts can be a bit better and give characters time to develop.
Cancelled 🙁
Heroes reborn is an Awesome series. Cancelling it because of viewer ratings is really disappointing considering that I’m sure Audiences in Africa weren’t put into consideration during those rating reviews.
While I think it had a bit of a rocky and somewhat cheesy first start, heroes reborn deserves a second season especially if they can tie in old heroes plotline a little more to get some of the old viewers interest back.
They one female character that kills the evolved humans is the biggest turn off on the show. Her hatred honestly turns my stomach. stopped watching the show.
That’s it! Two shows to be revived by Netflix I hope. Chuck and The Mentalist! Both intelligently written and acted to perfection!
Somebody revive Chuck!!!!
Meh. I’ll take a firefly revival over Chuck anyway .
Any day*
Hey Guys! What happened with Matt Parkman makes total sense. I believe we see him changed after the “butterflies” were stepped on. This means we are seeing an “alternate” Matt.
None of the “butterflies” in Heroes Reborn can logically be tied to Matt at all. Changing his conviction on the use of his power use without any explanation after this many episodes is just bad writing. Tim Kring has failed fans of Heroes with a loose and consistently unexplained story since the 3rd season of Heroes. Let this show end and someone who isn’t a sell out make a real series about superheroes.
