Despite a huge drop in the ratings over the previous year, the Humans TV show was not cancelled by AMC. Instead, the cable network renewed this co-production with UK Channel 4, for a third season. Can Humans perform any better in the Nielsen ratings race, this time around? Will Humans be cancelled or renewed for season four on AMC? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
An AMC sci-fi drama, Humans stars Gemma Chan, Ivanno Jeremiah, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Emily Berrington, Colin Morgan, and Ruth Bradley. Holly Earl, Ukweli Roach, Mark Bonnar, and Dino Fetscher join the Humans season three cast. The yarn unravels in a parallel present, where the latest must-have gadget for any home is a Synthetic. What happens though, when the “Synths” are imbued with consciousness and free will? The artificial intelligence series explores the potential consequences of blurring the lines between human and machine.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The second season of Humans on AMC averaged a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 462,000 million total viewers. It was down by about 65% and 61% respectively, over season one.

5/20/19 update: The Humans TV show has been cancelled so there won’t be a fourth season on AMC and Channel 4.
I love Humans!! Please renew for a fourth season so that the fans can have some closure. This show and its phenomenal cast deserve to have at least one more season so they can go out with a bang. Season Three was too much of a cliff-hanger to not have a follow-up season. Thank you.
Sadly this show will probably get cancelled because the ratings are way too low. Only the ratings matter, sadly. They should’ve made a real effort to promote this or made it a Netflix series. Would’ve gotten a lot of exposure if it was a Netflix original.
I think humans is a great show and the viewing numbers don’t do enough justice. Maybe it should be better promoted so more people know about it.
Please bring this back for a fourth season.
Played Detroit become human game, loved it so amazing. I wanted a show like it because android becomes alive is very cool. Found out tv show called humans just like it. Watch 3 seasons in a week! fell in love with it. I’m a big walking dead fan but Humans beat it like nothing.
Whoever did marketing should be fired! Little shown about the series.
AMC better renew Humans season 4 or unsubscribe and never watch another AMC show!

I discovered humans just recently and finished watching all 3 seasons in 2 weeks, the show is beautiful but needs more marketing budget I believe, I’m shocked hearing about the low ratings, in a few years they make a US remake and it becomes a hit and UK version would be remembered as the better original version that was a miss. Renew the show, it will be a classic!
I love this show, it makes you really think about life, its value and what it means. The show is acted really well, the story is intense. How could there be any discussion about whether there ought to be a season 4. Of course there must!. You cannot leave us with a cliffhanger such as there was and not give us another season or more. Perhaps the show should have been called Humanity as that is what we question and what being human means.
Yes, I just discovered this show Aug 2018. If ratings were down, the marketing of the series is to be blamed.

Great writing, great storyline, amazing cast!! How have I not known about this show until now? The success or failure lays on how poorly this entertaining show has been represented to the viewer.

I sure hope they do a season 4 for Humans. This show is great!! I think the fall in ratings could be because of the summer? I know I don’t usually watch my scheduled shows that often as I am out doing summer stuff. I catch up later 🙂
I can’t quite believe that there would be any doubt as to whether or not to make season 4 of Humans; this is the very best of what TV has to offer. A sci-fi (?) Series of this kind of depth dealing with a subject that’s on a lot of people’s minds these days as AI increasingly infiltrates our world. I find this story extremely well written, with each season building on the last and expanding perspective with a multitude of thought-provoking ideas, well thought out and well acted. In case you haven’t already figured it out. Quality isn’t what TV network execs look at when deciding to renew or not, but ratings, which is the percentage of an age group watching, which translates to ad dollars, which translates to profit vs loss.
They killed iff Mia so I am done watching
This is one of the best science-fiction series ever. It is that rare show that has expanded upon the original premise as opposed to withdraw from it. Bold, challenging and surprising. I did not think it would engage me as it has, but I am hooked. The story of the synths has just begun. AMC don’t you dare cancel this show. You have got a gem that it going to be looked back as a classic.
I have watched Humans from the beginning and my husband and I enjoy watching it together. Please bring Humans back for a fourth season, do not leave us hanging with Maddie’s baby, her mom in jail, and Niska’s new knowledge. I want to know what happens!
Even here in America, ‘HUMANS’ is up there just above our beloved sophomore series: ‘ORVILLE’. THAT MAKE ‘HUMANS’ THE BEST TV SHOW ON ON EARTH! A 4th season seems a natural given. There’s plenty of drama in the opening stages of species in rapid transition, the religious implications w/ nutters wanting the baby dead, industry and Military wanting the baby to turn into a weapon, FOX news equivalent there getting everyone terrified about the implications of the merger lol..
