Series picked up for 8 episodes starting in 2016
Los Angeles, CA – The groundbreaking series I AM JAZZ returns to TLC for a second season and will continue to follow the life of 15-year-old Jazz – as she balances school, sports, family, and more – documenting her triumphs and struggles from the perspective of a transgender teen.
The first season had viewers follow Jazz as she faced decisions regarding her health, pursuing her passion for soccer, spending more time with friends, and navigating the dating world.
Returning with Jazz are her parents Greg and Jeanette, who have always supported Jazz. Her siblings, sister Ari, and twin brothers Griffen & Sander, who stand by her side and support Jazz as she continues through her teenage years.
Jazz also devotes her time to being a transgender advocate, sharing her story with people across the country in an effort to educate and inspire others. A co-author of the book I Am Jazz, she was named one of “The 25 Most Influential Teens ” in 2014 and 2015 by Time. Jazz and her parents founded the Transkids Purple Rainbow Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to support transgender youth and their families.

What do you think? Do you plan to tune in for the second season of I Am Jazz on TLC?
I like the show and some people are born with the wrong part and if anything this show can help people understand and open up theirs closed minds. I hope you will continue the show.
I tuned into I am Jazz out of curiosity. I have seen some transgender people, but wanted to be more informed. I have met and knew people whom I felt should have been totally born a certain sex,but due to nature, were given a different body. The series was very informative,,and I wanted to thank Jazz, and her entire family for sharing,it took a lot of courage. Funny after watching several episodes,,I really just saw them as a regular loving family, and Jazz was just a girl! I was saddened by negative comments and how people react to something when they don’t understand… Read more »
I love the show!! I believe Jazz is inspirational and a very mature young lady!! I love to hear her speak her mind and be a role model for all teens!!! Thanks TLC for being avant garde on the transgender subject!!! Can not wait for the second season to start!
I love this family and their ability to accept one another with such grace. As a teacher and counselor for over 30 years, I would have been priveledged to teach Jazz, or her siblings. I pray that God protects and blesses this family.
I think this is a great educational show. It gives insight into what life is like as a transgender. It helps people understand and empathize with the day to day obstacles and unfortunate encounters with the less acceptable people in this world. I think Jazz is a courageous young girl and so is her family for their unquestionable support.I wish her and her family the strength to continue with their choice to help educate society and encourage others in the same situation. God bless all of you!
I really look forward to watching the show again. It is informative and educational whole shedding light on life’s issues and obstackes. Jazz is an inspiration to others young and old to stand proud and be who truly are.
I’m really looking forward to the new season. I believe Jazz & her family are terrific role models showing other families how to be accepting of unfamiliar situations. Life is not always easy but is so much better when we feed on the positves and dispel the negatives. Jazz, continue to show the younger transkids …and some older ones….what they have to look forward to by being strong in your convictions.
I am looking forward to watching another season. Jazz is blessed to have such a supportive family. I feel like I have learned a lot watching her deal with being a transgender. She is so brave to stand up for what she believes in. I wish you and your family well.
I am definitely looking forward to new season with Jazz… I think the show is really focusing on family and how they handle health issues… The show is good and sympathetic to all…
