What’s This TV Show About?
A sitcom on the Bounce cable channel, In the Cut stars Dorien Wilson, Ken Lawson, Dorion Renaud, John Marshall Jones, Laura Hayes, Chastity Dotson, and Kalita Smith. The comedy centers on barbershop owner Jay “The Dream” Weaver (Wilson). Unbeknownst to him at the time, Jay fathered a child over 30 years ago, as the result of a brief fling. As an adult, his son Kenny (Lawson) seeks him out. Now, they’re learning to live and work with each other in close quarters.
In the Cut has been renewed for a fourth season which will debut on July 2, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
The ratings for Bounce TV shows are typically very small so it’s difficult to figure out what this small cable channel considers a success. Via their press releases, Bounce appears to be happy with In the Cut’s performance so I believe it will be renewed for a fourth season. I’ll keep my ear to the ground and will update this page with new developments. Subscribe for free updates on any In the Cut cancellation and renewal news.
