TV show description:
This sitcom follows the life of Tony-winning diva Madison Banks (Kirstie Alley). She’s enjoyed years of unbridled hedonism, drinking and sleeping her way up and down Broadway.
Her life takes a surprising turn when she meets up with Arlo Barth (Eric Petersen), the son she gave up for adoption 26 years earlier. Maddie has played countless roles on stage, but now she has to play the one part she’s not prepared to take on — a mother.
With the help and encouragement of her long-suffering assistant and best friend Thelma Katz (Rhea Pearlman) and her eccentric chauffeur Frank Baxter (Michael Richards), Maddie realizes that Arlo is a diamond in the rough and invites him to move into her swanky New York City apartment.
Episode #12 — The Dinner Party
Maddie hosts a dinner party for Arlo’s new girlfriend and her snooty intellectual parents who also live in the building. Thelma pretends to be her maid and tries to feed Maddie information for her conversations. Fraks picks up Professor Danniker, Maddie’s date, but he ends up getting drunk in the limo so Frank takes his place. The evening is a disaster and Arlo proclaims that he is proud to have people in his life that would go to such lengths to help him impress a girl.
First aired: February 26, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Kirstie TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Horrible show. Not funny, jokes were forced and the characters were not believable and had no chemistry. Good riddance.
I also thought that kristy alley was funny an so many other shows that have been cancelled it seem that Hot in Cleveland has taken over and I don’t think it’s that funny Tvland why. Bring shows then soon after people who enjoy the show and think its funny then it’s gets cancelled so stupid
kirstie was a great show….funniest i’ve seen in a long time also!!! bring it back! good writing, funny characters! dvr’d every week and right now i’m sitting here watching Look who’s Talking, and i thought, “what happened to her show?????” so i looked it up and saw all this !
Please bring Kirstie back. It was the funniest show I have seen in a long time.
Why???? So sad!
Give it some time.
I don’t understand why it was cancelled. The same with happily divorced! They were both so funny and immediately following hot in Cleveland ! How could you change the channel….
Bring it back!
Glad it got cancelled it was stupid, and all the good people she had with her could have done better. Keep looking there is something out there that,s worthy. And kisties show wasn’t it.
Sad to see that Kirstie has been cancelled. I loved the Rhea Perlman and Michael Richards characters.. and the crossover episode with Hot in Cleveland. They didn’t even give it a chance to catch on.. sad.
It’s the funniest show I ever seen right up there with I love Lucy and Two and a Half Men. Her show was my next hope of having a new funny show to watch…..loved it
I think this show was delightfully funny. I had a smile on my face from start to finish. I am so sad to hear it has been cancelled. It seems like all the good shows are always cancelled. I wish we could bring Kristie back!
Please please bring this show back. This is the BEST show on TV Land!!!
I can’t believe that the kirsty show was cancelled. This was one if the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. Please please please bring it back. Thank you in advance.
The show was funny and entertaining. Kirstie Alley is great. The show deserves another chance.
This show was hilarious. Such a shame to cancel it. For once the writers were creative. Completely different than the usual shows with an amazing cast. They made a huge mistake. We never watch tv land and when this show first aired we couldn’t wait til next episodes. We laughed so much. Bring it back!!!
Just found out this wonderful, entertaining show has been cancelled. WHY??? To keep this simple, please bring this show back. It deserves it.
